Thursday 16th March: Meet your Tour Leader at Malta International Airport at 13:45 hrs, in time for you Aegean Airlines flight to Cairo departing at 16:15hrs with transit in Athens. Arrival in Cairo at 01:50hrs. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, check-in and overnight.

Friday 17th March: After breakfast, together with your Tour Leader, meet your Egyptologist guide and depart for full day optional excursion. Explore the history and culture of Egypt at the Egyptian Museum, Great Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphinx. Start your tour at the Egyptian Museum which collections exceed 120,000 masterpieces, ranging from the predynastic era to the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods. See the treasures of King Tutankhamen and the Mummies room, where you can enter for a small extra charge. Continue to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Your guide will tell you about their monumental contruction and mysteries before you explore inside one of them. Proceed to the Great Sphinx and admire the colossal structure. After such an intense day, you will return to the hotel, dinner and overnight. Saturday 18th March: Breakfast at the hotel, check-out and transfer to Cairo Airport; Egyptair flight to Luxor departing at 13:55hrs and arrival in Luxor at 14:55hrs. Transfer to port and embarkation for the Nile Cruise. In the late afternoon, half day excursion to the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Karnak is currently the second largest ancient religious site in the world, smaller

decorations illustrate thoughts, ideas and the expectations for the afterworld to a degree that the pyramids do not. In the afternoon the Temple of Hatshepsut, the only woman who got the Pharaoh title, as it was reserved almost exclusively for men. Monday 20th March: Morning visit to Ptolemaic Temple of God Horus, built between 237 and 57 BC, one of the best-preserved ancient monuments in Egypt. You will feel the history of ancient Ptolemaic and Roman sites with very exciting stories. In the afternoon, once in KomOmbo you will discover a unique Temple for its dedication to two different deities: the local crocodile-headed god Sobek and the first “god of the Kingdom”, the falcon-headed god Horus the Elder.

Tuesday 21st March: Morning excursion to The Temple of Isis, originally located upon the island of Philae, “the end” in Ancient Egypt language, since it marked the southernmost boundary of the historic nation. Thanks to the efforts of UNESCO and the Egyptian government, the Temple of Isis was painstakingly taken apart and rebuilt on higher ground, in its current location on Agilkia Island, when the Aswan Dam was constructed in 1960s. In the afternoon visit the unfinished Obelisk, located in a granite pit from the reign of Queen Hatshepsut. It would have been the largest obelisk in Ancient Egypt, at 42 metres tall and weighing 1,200 tonnes.
