Spring is in full bloom, and there's so much happening in our vibrant Smithville community this month! We're excited to bring you updates, opportunities, and events that showcase what makes our town truly special.
First, we want to remind you about our upcoming Lunch & Learn sessions?tomorrow and next week (3/26/25 and 4/2/25). These sessions are free for our members, and just $10 for potential new members. Join us in the Chamber’s Conference Room from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. More details below!
Next, we’re gearing up for our Candidate Forum?an essential event for any engaged citizen. This is your opportunity to hear directly from candidates and make informed choices that will shape our future. Let’s all take the time to participate and ensure our voices are heard. Volunteerism is also at the heart of our community. Whether you're supporting Chamber committees or helping out at local events, your contributions are invaluable. Not yet a Chamber member? Join us! Together, we can achieve so much for Smithville. We welcome committee members to help plan and execute our events. After all, many hands make light work!
And speaking of traditions, get ready for the Smithville Jamboree! This beloved community event brings us together for fun, fellowship, and a celebration of our local heritage. Don’t miss out?it’s a highlight of the season! We’ll see you at Chuckwagon Square!
Finally, be sure to mark your calendars for our upcoming Quarterly Luncheon. It’s a great chance to connect, collaborate, and discuss ways to keep Smithville thriving. Our featured speaker will be TJ Greaney from Kids Outdoor Zone. Stay tuned for more details on the caterer.
Thank you for everything you do to make Smithville such a wonderful place. We look forward to seeing you at these events and continuing to build a stronger, brighter future together!
Have a Hoppy Easter!

We're thrilled to welcome TJ Greaney, Founder of Kids Outdoor Zone as our keynote speaker, providing a look inside this amazing organization. This is a great opportunity to connect, learn, and stay informed about the future of our community. See you there!
Our featured speaker: TJ Greaney spent 20 years as an outdoor journalist, traveling the globe to write adventure stories. Today, he’s the voice behind The Outdoor Zone, a top-rated outdoor radio show airing Sunday mornings on ESPN Austin. His deep passion for the outdoors and his dedication to sharing it with others?especially the next generation?continue to drive his busy schedule. What is it about being outdoors that captivates us? What draws us in when we gather around a campfire? In a world where younger generations are increasingly disconnected from nature, TJ believes it’s crucial to step in and make a difference.
Learn how his passion for the outdoors led to the creation of one of the largest outdoor adventure ministries for boys aged 8-18. What started in South Austin 15 years ago has grown into a global movement, even reaching the front lines of Ukraine last year?just 20 miles from danger.
KOZ (Kids Outdoor Zone) relocated to Smithville, Texas, four years ago, where it has flourished and become a cherished part of the local community.
