For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Overview Through faith Creator and Redeemer

A correct understanding of the power of God's Word in Creation leads to appreciating His Word's power in Redemption.

He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33:9.

God's Word is life:

The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. 2 Timothy 3:16.
It is God-breathed:

Thus the true God is distinguished by this creative power and the call to worship Him is based upon the same reason.

Through faith

We can only know the things which God has revealed by believing them.

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever. Deuteronomy 29:29.

Thus our knowledge of these things is the result of our faith and not our faith the result of our knowledge.

Moreover,

But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.
we are encouraged to trust Him for our needs:

We all have this great need - we are fallen and mortal.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. Romans 3:23-25.

Creator and Redeemer

The same Word that created is the power which now preserves:

Thou, even Thou, art Lord alone; Thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth Thee. Nehemiah 9:6.

For God so loved the world, that He:

Gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

Commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.

Was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; 2 Corinthians 5:19. Redeemed us with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot; 1 Peter 1:19, 20.

Therefore:

Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29.
