The Butcher's Market (Dalton, 8 minutes) features a variety of sandwiches and salads with a focus on smoked meats, in the attached Blue Moon Cafe. El Sueño Mexican Restaurant (Varnell, 9 minutes)offers authentic Mexican food and a friendly family environment. Red Wolfe Grill (Cohutta, 13 minutes) features burgers, chicken, etc., in a casual, small town environment. Downtown Creamery (Cohutta, 13 minutes) is a small ice cream shop in the heart of downtown Cohutta, featuring an outdoor seating area.
Dalton, GA (14 minutes)
Downtown Dalton features a number of locally-owned restaurants and cafes. Favorites include: Cyra's for white table cloths/wine, the Oakwood for hearty "meat and three" lunches or dinners, Cherokee Brewing & Pizza (for the obvious!), Cafe Ostro for Mediterranean, Chelsea's on Thornton (tearoom with Southern casual lunch), Miller Brother's Rib Shack (ribs, chicken, veggies), Tenoch Urban Kitchen (tacos, seafood, wings, cerveza). The Walnut Avenue area includes major chains including Long Horn, Red Lobster, Chili's, Outback, Panda Express, fast food, etc.
Chattanooga, TN (25 minutes)
Downtown Chattanooga features several highly rated fine dining establishments, including Alleia, St. John's, Old Gilman Grill, Easy Bistro, Stir, Public House and Boathouse. Local vibes at Champy's Chicken and The Pickle Barrel. Quality chains include Bonefish Grill, Carraba's, etc., located mostly in the Gunbarrel Road area. There are probably an additional 100 or more restaurants/cafes in the area.
