Make plans to join us on Saturday, November 2, 2024 for the most stunning and exciting black-tie fundraising gala in Laurinburg, NC, for our 31st Putting on the Ritz!
Since 1994, Scotland Memorial Foundation has annually played host to its premiere fundraising event, Putting on the Ritz - A Gala of Giving. From the moment of arrival on the Hospital campus, Ritz guests enjoy five-star service, including valet parking, coat-check services, and assistance by our wonderful volunteers during the evening in our elegant 14,800-square-foot ballroom. Once in the ballroom, guests partake of exquisite entrees and decadent desserts prepared by Master Chefs. As if that were not enough indulgence for one evening, guests can dance the night away with live entertainment from Envision Band.
To add to the excitement of the evening, lively competition takes center stage as guests bid on unique items and fabulous packages in the Ritz silent and live auctions, directed by a professional auctioneer. Our online bidding system allows guests to bid right from their seats. Guests will receive alerts instantly if they have been outbid and can continue bidding until the final second before bidding is closed.
The true highlight of the evening is the opportunity to honor the individuals and businesses who support the Foundation’s Putting on the Ritz. Through their generous financial contributions, Scotland Memorial Foundation is able to use the net proceeds from the Ritz to fund numerous community-based health and wellness programs and services each year.
Also don’t forget the Ritz Raffle! Details will be announced soon and one lucky winner will be drawn the evening of the Ritz!
We expect our November 2nd Ritz to be a sold-out event and a spectacular evening of glitz, glamour, and grateful giving!
Scotland Memorial Foundation touches hundreds of people every year by funding health and wellness programs and services that offer hope, encouragement, and a healthier way of life.

• Community Health and Wellness Initiatives
• Scholarships
• Support Groups
• Free Mammograms and Colonoscopies
• Cardiac Care for Patients
• Wound Healing Center Patient Support
• Nursery Patient Support
• Scotland Cancer Treatment Center Patient Support
• Scholarships and Educational Opportunities
In the last 11 years the Ritz has raised over
2,250,000

Every year Scotland Memorial Foundation designates a recipient of the Fund the Need initiative. This year, 100% of Fund the Need contributions will support health equity by providing better access to health care by removing roadblocks to health.
The Need:
• Many of our patients travel more than 10 miles to get treatment. Cost, distance, and access to transportation are common barriers for people making their medical appointments or getting medications.
• Studies show that 21% of Americans over 65 do not drive. And many more in our local area simply do not have transportation.
• Because of this isolation and poverty, many also report they face limited or uncertain access to food, medications, and medical supplies.
• According to our patients and local residents, transportation is one of the top barriers which hinders health care.
Will you Go the Extra Mile to:
• Empower your community with access to transportation to receive medical care?
• Provide private transportation for those who need wheelchair or stretcher accessibility?
• Offer private transportation for those who are immunocompromised and can’t use public transit?
• Increase access to medication, food, and medical supplies?

In the last 11 years, Fund the Need has raised over
690,000
And has aided patients in areas of Cardiac Rehab, Mammograms, Colonoscopies, Cancer Center, Hurricane Relief and more!
