DIVINE HEALING COMES FROM JESUS THE HEALER

The Christian Church began on the day of Pentecost, with the first Christian Revival. “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your Holy Servant Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”

The first Christian church in the book of Acts was successful in winning lost souls, seeing the sick healed, and experiencing astonishing miracles, because they followed the footsteps of Jesus. If God said it, they preached it, believed it, and practiced it.

The secret to the tremendous accomplishments for Christ by the first Church, as told in the Bible, was that most, if not all, took God as their partner spiritually, physically, and financially through God’s Seed Principle Law of Sowing and Reaping. Their dedication and the giving of seed gifts to God’s work puts almost all Christians today to shame by comparison. The Scriptures said, “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. My dear brother and sister in Christ, we must never forget that we are part of the first Church, the Christian Church that started on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts. Those brothers and sisters in the days of Peter and John loved God with all their hearts and were no doubt “partners with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” They proved this by the testimony and the good seed gifts they sowed to help reach their generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:9 (GWT)

It was the Christians who stood with the apostles by providing their tithes and offerings, which helped make it possible for them to reach most of the known world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. My dear friend, it is the same today as back then. It is the active Seed Harvest Plan members who have taken God as their financial partner, and concerned Christians giving tithes and offerings, who have made it possible through Saint Matthew’s Churches home missionary program to America to win lost souls to Christ. This program consists of sharing gospel sermons and prayer free to millions of people all over America. Our Church has been doing this year after year since January 1964. Each of you that are

active Biblical Seed Harvest Plan members has a part in all the souls being saved from a devil’s hell. This gospel must be “preached”! It must be “published” before Christ’s second coming for His Church. To preach and publish this gospel, it takes money, just like it did in the book of Acts. In his “Letters” to the Corinthian Church, Paul said, “Now I will write about the collection of money.” The Apostle Paul went on to say, “each one of you should put aside as much money as you can from what you are blessed with,” that is to be “your gift.”

Paul did not say that just some of the Christians were to “give as much as you can,” but that “each one of you should.” It is by each of God’s children giving “as much as you can,” that the instructions Jesus gives us to preach the gospel will be fulfilled. The Lord said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature;” those were the last words Jesus said here on earth. “So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.” Mark 16:15,19 (NKJV)

When Jesus and the disciples were preaching the gospel, it took money for them to spread God’s message to that generation. Where did this money come from? This money came from the same place it comes from today; from those who love the Lord. The Holy Word says, “Also among the women were Joanna, the wife of Chuza (Herod’s helper), Susanna, and many other women. These women used their own money to help Jesus and his apostles.” Also, in the book of Acts, we just read about the believers giving sacrificial seed offerings to God’s work. Remember that they “brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”

No one could read what we just read on the previous pages in chapters 4 and 5 of Acts, without clearly seeing that every sincere Christian was involved in supporting God’s work with all their hearts; “each one” “put aside as much money” as he could from that which God had “blessed” him. That is how the first Church reached the “multitudes” with the gospel, and it is what “each one of you should” do. The instruction in God’s Word is worth more than all the gold and silver on earth.

God has called on His ministers who preach and publish the gospel today to spread His Word. The only limitation Saint Matthew’s Churches has in sending the gospel free of any charge to every home in America is the funds to pay for the costs of getting the gospel to them.

Scriptures say, “God in heaven appoints each man’s work.” Let me encourage “each one” who is not a Seed Harvest Plan Member to Email the Church saying you have taken God as your financial partner; and plan to give God a seed gift out of each financial blessing you receive. As you can see in the great commission, God commands us to preach the gospel, and thus commands that we support the preaching of it. If Christ does not want us to have money, then He

Every SAVED person is a Missionary; every UNSAVED person is a Mission field does not want the gospel preached. The gospel has to be preached, for it is one of the main reasons God wants to be your partner in life. He wants to give to His children so that they can be a part of fulfilling the great commission and make heaven their home.

When Jesus came to this earth, He proclaimed that His mission was that we “may have life, and… have it more abundantly.” Jesus died on the cross so that you may have eternal life and better life than you ever dreamed of here on earth with all your prayers answered. This promise is yours through the right use of The Biblical Seed Harvest Plan, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

The Lord’s greatest desire is that you have life in all its fullness, a rich and satisfying life encompassing everything you need. God wants you to be “very rich and able to enjoy everything you own.” This is what He said about someone who is “very rich” “Suppose you are very rich and able to enjoy everything you own. Then go ahead and enjoy working hard—this is God’s gift to you.”

Think about it, my friend, you know how full of love and kindness our Lord Jesus was, and so very rich in Heaven, but He gave it all up “in order to make you rich.” “You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ; rich as he was, he made himself poor for your sake, in order to make you rich by means of his poverty.” 2 Corinthians 8:9 (TEV)

It is extremely clear throughout the Bible that we find God talking about earthly riches. To deny this truth is to deny the Word of God; “Now Abraham was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.” It does not matter what Church denomination you belong to, or if you do not belong to any of them, “all have the same Lord,” who loves Continued on next page

you and desires to bless you financially and to meet every need you have. If you need God’s blessing with money problems, regardless of how large or small they may be, according to scripture, it is all right to pray for your financial needs because the Lord “generously gives his riches to all those who ask him for them.” Genesis 13:2 (NRSVA); Romans 10:12 (TLB)

Some may say they just do not believe that God is concerned with blessing us with the “power to get wealth.” I wonder if they realize how small their

Bibles would be if they cut out all the scriptures where God promises to bless his children with all types of wealth. If the Bible mentioned only this one verse, “you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth,” as an 88-year-old Bishop that began preaching at 22, I am convinced that this scripture is more than enough for me to believe it and preach it with all my heart, mind, and soul. There are some things the Lord our God has kept secret, but there are other things He has let us know. These things belong to humanity forever. “The LORD our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.” Deuteronomy 29:29 (NLT)

Since time began, humankind that doesn’t know the financial promises in God’s Word have been searching for this secret, the “power to get wealth.” Yet all the time the Word of God clearly shows us step by step how we can have the financial blessings of heaven and anything good we might desire here on earth. The mysterious secret kept for so long is now, through the Holy Scriptures, an open book for those who believe. For it is the command of the eternal God to bring about the obedience of His children by faith; believing that God’s Seed Principle Law of sowing and reaping can bless anyone spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially. “Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says. This message about Jesus Christ has revealed his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time. But now as the prophets foretold

and as the eternal God has commanded, this message is made known to all Gentiles everywhere, so that they too might believe and obey him.” And enjoy “life in all its fullness.” Romans 16:25-26 (NLT); John 10:10 (TEV) These blessings come to us when we always “put God’s work first.” Our Heavenly Father desires us to accept what He gives us and delight in the position and work that He has given us to do. If we do what God wants, He will make us wise, understanding, and happy; and fill our hearts with joy and our lives with health, wealth, and prosperity. However, if we choose to go the other way, God will let us struggle to make a living, and then He will give all we own to someone who pleases Him. For anyone not doing what God “wants” makes no more sense than chasing the wind. Our Bible teaches us that God rewards people in Heaven. But the same Bible tells us that “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord;” and many, many times over it tells us that He also rewards those who “more than anything else, put God’s work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well” with wealth and “prosperity…all the days of your life.” Psalm 37:23 (KJV); Matthew 6:33 (CEV); Psalm 128:5 (NRSVA)

You do not need to be defeated by anything. You can have peace of mind, improved health, and a continual flow of financial blessings. Your Heavenly Father wants your life to be full of joy and satisfaction; of this, I do not doubt at all. I am an old Bishop of Saint Matthew’s Churches. I have watched people for over 70 years, and have read countless testimonies from people who have learned God’s instructions about His Seed Principle Law of sowing the right seeds and reaping the desires of their heart. They applied this system of God’s seed sowing process, which in turn brought about the harvest of benefits they needed in their lives. A short time after [that] I became involved in a court case. ❝Dear Saint Matthew’s Churches, It all began on the first week of May 2008 when we received a letter from the bank informing us that our house was being foreclosed. At that time, we were a bit behind in our mortgage payments. We immediately consulted a lawyer friend who politely suggested that we give up our house, but for us, this was not an option. Our house means more to us than just a place to live in; it is our home, our pride and our life. He referred us to another lawyer whose expertise is in real estate, and she was able to get us some breathing time. A week later, we received a letter from Saint Matthew’s Churches. We had never heard of this church before and had no idea what to expect from [them], but we [couldn’t] ignore a letter from a church, any church. So, we read the letter, and immediately, we felt like they had known us and our problems all along, and that was why they wrote us. The letter was very personal and sincere, direct and uplifting. responded to Saint Matthew’s, and before long, we looked forward to receiving more of their letters, especially the inspirational revelations and Holy Spirit prophecies. Our first task in the morning is to pull up the daily prayer from their website to guide us through the day. Through these letters, revelations, prophecies and their prayers, we came to really know God, truly love Him and absolutely place our faith and trust in Him. The bank granted us forbearance, but in May this year, and without any explanation, they suddenly refused to accept our payments, and before the end of the month, they went to court to force a foreclosure. But our faith in God [was so] rock solid that “even the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.” Our lawyer met them in court, and as suddenly as they refused our payments, they asked for the hearing to be postponed. We have since applied for a loan modification, which we are praying for approval. This is but one of the miracles we experienced since joining Saint Matthew’s. In fact, every day is a miracle, and as our faith in Him continues to grow, fear and anxiety steadily diminish. The seed that we sow is but a mustard [seed], compared to our faith in God, but we faithfully believed that soon, it would be time to harvest. Soon came on Thanksgiving Day this year when we were [blessed with] $165,000.00…

Immediately, we praised and thanked God for the bountiful harvest and prayed for guidance in sharing His graces with those we love and those in need. With this grace from God, we expect to settle our back taxes and our other debts, and help pay for the needs of our children and relatives, [as well as] donate to charity and keep some reserve… But, God comes first, and so, we are enclosing a Cashier’s Check for $10,000.00 as our thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest and our seed for more harvests in the future. In 2 Chronicles, God tells us where and how Solomon got his riches and wealth. When Solomon went into partnership with God, he took their partnership into different levels of his life. Before he became the wisest and richest man that has ever walked the earth, God’s Holy Word tells us he had become partners with God and put God first in his life. “And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.” As you can see, Solomon put God and His work first. 2 Chronicles 1:6 (NKJV/KJV)

Some people mistake placing all types of their needs and wants first; things such as bills, furniture, cars, and entertainment. That is not what God instructed us to do, and it is not what Solomon did. wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before you, neither shall there any after you have the like.” Look again at God’s words to Solomon, “And God said to Solomon… ‘I will give you riches, and wealth,’” “and the LORD his God was with him and magnified him exceedingly.” Where Solomon got his “riches and wealth,” is precisely where every one of God’s children received riches and wealth in the days of the Bible. It has not changed up to this day. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

If you say that in 2 Corinthians 8:9 God is not talking about earthly things like silver and gold, you would also have to say that Solomon was never actually rich and wealthy because, in both places, God is the one speaking. Many years ago, I found out that it is always best just to believe God’s Word instead of trying to interpret it to get it to say what some groups of people want it to say. When you let the Bible speak, you will find out where true riches

and wealth come from; “remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth.” By faith, if you will sow the financial seed into God’s work, He will grow you a financial harvest that meets your needs. “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.” Deuteronomy 8:18 (NRSV); Psalm 112:1-3 (KJV)

These promises from God’s Holy Book bring blessings to the lives of Seed Harvest Plan members from coast to coast. Every day, the prayer team receives letters from the Churches’ Seed Harvest members that “more than anything else, put God’s work first and do what he wants. It does not matter what your needs are if you will put God first , ahead of everything and everyone else in all levels of your life. His promise to you is, “all who have given up home or brothers and sisters or father and mother or

children or land for me will be given a hundred times as much. They will also have eternal life. ” Matthew 19:29 (CEV)

God and His soul-winning work must always come first. That is the meaning of Matthew 6:33. If you want His blessings upon your life, make up your mind that no person, place, or thing shall ever come between you and your Heavenly Father. He will never settle for second place, “for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God.” Exodus 20:5 (NKJV)

In Matthew 19:29, God is not saying that we are to desert our responsibility to our families; quite the contrary. His word is, “But anyone who won’t care for his own relatives when they need help, especially those living in his own family, has no right to say he is a Christian. As I was reading about how Abraham and other men and women of faith in the Bible who put God and His work here on earth first, I thought of a man in Kentucky who put God first and sowed seed gifts in the Lord’s work, and God gave him an unusual financial blessing. Let him tell you in his own words: “Dear Saint Matthew’s… The Lord blessed me and my family in so many ways ever since we have been members of God’s Biblical Seed Harvest Plan.

An oil well driller came to me to get permission to drill an oil well on our farm. I felt impressed to let him go ahead. The Lord gave me a vision where the oil was located. I told the driller where to drill. He has drilled 5 wells and every one of them is producing oil. God is blessing SHALL

When I received the letters and the magazines there was something strange about them. When I would read and look at them I felt something like I never felt before.

At the time, I had a problem of drinking. I was a sinner without God. Why, sometimes I would go for a month at a time on the bottle. I was a heavy drinker. I wanted to stop, but I couldn’t. I read again in your magazine how people were being delivered from the drink habit and their problems being helped through your prayers.

One day as I was returning home from work, I reached City Hall downtown. The bell in the tower was ringing 5 o’clock. As I stood on the corner… my life was so empty, my heart so heavy, and I was burdened down . As I stood there, I remembered some scriptures that you had sent me in a letter and also telling me about my heavy burden I was carrying. It seems as I stood there I felt something moving within me. The blessings of Abraham were spiritual, physical and financial, “just as Abraham ‘believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.’ Therefore, know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, ‘In you all the nations shall be blessed.’ So, then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.” “That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:6-9,14 (NKJV)

If you want God’s best here on earth you need to be partners with God, as Abraham was. God wants to be your friend at all times and under all circumstances, conditions, and events in your life.

God’s Word Speaks for Itself

No one who believes Jesus’ message to Nicodemus, “you must be born again,” believes that spiritual riches can be obtained by “all the work of your hand.” So, when the Word says, “The Lord will open to you His good treasure,” He is not just talking about spiritual things. God’s promise is, “to bless all the work of your hand.” However, to receive financial blessings from “all the work of your hand” you must believe that what God said is what He meant

If you do not believe God’s promises in His Word to save you, you will never have salvation. If you do not believe God’s promises to bless you financially, you will not receive all of the help God desires to give you to meet your financial needs. Unbelief puts all of God’s blessings out of reach; faith is the key, so use it. “The Lord will open to you His good treasure,” and when He does, “The Lord will make you abound in prosperity.” Just believe God’s promises to bless you financially because “the Lord has found great pleasure in helping you to prosper.” Deuteronomy 28:12 (NKJV); Deuteronomy 28:11 (NRSVA); Deuteronomy 28:63 (NLT) ===

Now God says he will accept and acquit us, declare us “not guilty” if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. believing its gospel message. To them I would say that on religious subjects, the best place to get your answer is in God’s Word; and these scriptures you have read plainly state exactly what God has to say concerning His plans and desires for us to today, tomorrow, and forever and ever.

God means what He says in His Holy Book; no more, no less. He is the one doing the talking in your Bible, and why would He have said anything He did not mean for us to believe if it were not true?

Remember, when you pray you are talking to God, and when you read your Bible God is talking to you. Someone said he did not believe that was the case. Do not tell me, tell God. He is the one who told us that it is true. Remember, with God, there are only two kinds of people in the world, and those are the “believer” and the nonbeliever. Which are you? The choice is yours and only yours, but eternity will reveal if you made the right choice.

All we can do is preach God’s precious Word. The rest is up to the reader to believe or not to believe. Our prayer is that with the help of the Holy Spirit, even though you are having problems believing the truth about God and His divine Word, you will go to Him in prayer. Most Christians, before God saved them, had doubts put into their hearts and minds by the devil, the enemy of their soul, about the existence of God and whether or not the Bible was really His divine Word.

If you have these doubts about God and His divine Word right now, I want to share some meaningful scriptures with you.

It is extremely easy to be saved if, from your heart, you ask God for forgiveness. A great biblical example of how simple the message of salvation is can be found in the book of Luke, where it says: “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a proud, self-righteous Pharisee, and the other a cheating tax collector. The proud Pharisee prayed this prayer: ‘Thank God, I am not a sinner like everyone else, especially like that tax collector over there! For I never cheat, I don’t commit adultery, I go without food twice a week, and I give to God a tenth of everything I earn.’ But the corrupt tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed, but beat upon his chest in sorrow, exclaiming, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner.’ I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home forgiven! For the proud shall be humbled, but the humble shall be honored.”

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” It does not matter if you have been

a Christian for fifty years or if you have never been saved; I want you to pray this short prayer of forgiveness right now. Let us pray: “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.” My friend, believe that God has heard your prayer and “I tell you, this sinner” will go forward “forgiven” in God’s sight. “Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Luke 18:10-14 (TLB); Romans 3:23 (KJV); Romans 10:8-13 (NLT)

Saint Matthew’s Churches prayer team is a small group of praying parents and grandparents whose lives are dedicated to praying for people and mailing out gospel books, sermon prayer letters and other Christian literature. Most of all we pray for people to be saved and be ready to meet Jesus when they die or when Jesus comes. We believe this is the most important thing in life, more important than success or material blessings. But, we also believe that the blessings of God are not limited to salvation of the soul. We believe you can have everything God promises you in the Bible. We believe God wants to bless you, his child, spiritually, physically, and financially (III John 2). We believe God wants his children to prosper and have the nicer things in life (Philippians 4:19). We pray for God to bless folks with their own businesses, more money, finer homes and automobiles. We believe God’s people can have the best of everything. It is God answering prayer, not us, that is making these wonderful things happen for people. Give God the praise.

We write our partners letters each month, all of the same faith-building nature. These items of faith, which we send out along with our letters, have no power but are merely spiritual faith handles like Jesus and His disciples used during their time to help people focus their faith on God.
