An Angel Appears to Joseph to Warn Him

GOD sent an angel to Joseph, who spoke to him in a dream saying, “Get up, take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt. Stay there till I tell you for Herod will try to kill the little Child.” At once, Joseph rose up in the night, and took his wife and her Child, to Egypt.

An Angel Gives Water The Power To Heal

IN Jerusalem there was a pool beside which were lying a great crowd of sick, blind and crippled people. At certain times an angel came down to stir the water and gave it the power to heal. The first person to go down into the pool after the water was stirred was cured.

A man who had been a cripple for fourty years said to Jesus, “I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred.”

Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your mat and walk!” The man rose and walked away.

Baylor today will release results of its second national survey on religion.

The survey, based on interviews with nearly 1,700 adults in fall 2007, updates Baylor’s 2006 findings on religious affiliation and views of God by adding new questions on topics such as gender and politics, the environment and beliefs about evil. Members of almost every major religious group sensed angels running heavenly interference: evangelical Protestant, 66 percent; black Protestant, 81 percent; mainline Protestant, 55 percent; Catholic, 57 percent; Jewish, 10 percent; other religions, 49 percent; no religion, 20 percent.

Jesus Teaches About Angels

WHEN Jesus was teaching the people, they brought little children to Him that He might bless them. He said, “Let the children come to Me. The kingdom of God belongs to such as these. An Angel Announces The Resurrection of Jesus

ON Easter Sunday morning, Jesus rose from the dead by His own divine power, as He had promised. In this way He showed that He was the Son of God.

That morning some women went very early to the tomb of Jesus. They were bringing spices to put on His body, but they did not find the body of Jesus. They saw sitting at each end of the open tomb young men in white garments.

One of the angels said to them, “do not be afraid. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, Who was crucified. He is not here; He is risen. Go, tell His disciples that He will see them in Galilee.”

FORTY days after Easter, five hundred followers of Jesus met on a mountain. There Jesus showed Himself to them. After giving them His last commands, He blessed them, and then began to rise in the air until a cloud covered Him.

Saint Matthew’s Churches prayer team is a small group of praying parents and grandparents whose lives are dedicated to praying for people and mailing out gospel books, sermon prayer letters and other Christian literature. Most of all we pray for people to be saved and be ready to meet Jesus when they die or when Jesus comes. We believe this is the most important thing in life, more important than success or material blessings. But, we also believe that the blessings of God are not limited to salvation of the soul. We believe you can have everything God promises you in the Bible. We believe God wants to bless you, his child, spiritually, physically, and financially (III John 2). We believe God wants his children to prosper and have the nicer things in life (Philippians 4:19). We pray for God to bless folks with their own businesses, more money, finer homes and automobiles. We believe God’s people can have the best of everything. It is God answering prayer, not us, that is making these wonderful things happen for people. Give God the praise.

We write our partners letters each month, all of the same faith-building nature. These items of faith, which we send out along with our letters, have no power but are merely spiritual faith handles like Jesus and His disciples used during their time to help people focus their faith on God.
