Dr. Larry Dossey, former head of the National Institutes of Health’s Mind/Body Panel and author of “Healing Words: The Power of prayer and the Practice of Medicine,” recalls an elderly patient who had cancer in both lungs that had spread throughout his body. All medical therapies had failed to help him.
When Dossey delivered the grim verdict, the patient’s friends gathered around his hospital bed and prayed.
“I expected him to die within days, and when he asked to go home, I respected his wishes and discharged him, “says Dr. Dossey.
A year later, the patient was back at the hospital - with a bad case of the flu. Extensive testing revealed no trace of cancer anywhere in his body.
“To me, this was a true miracle cure, “Says the doc.
While many miracle cures happen to deeply religious people, confirmed atheists also experience stunning spontaneous remissions.
Doctor’s believe the patient’s mental state plays a key role in these medical miracles, but there’s no consensus on what that state should be.
“The two most commonly cited factors seem like opposites,” says Dr. Dossey. “Seventy-five percent attributed the recovery to a ‘belief in a positive outcome,’ while 71 percent said it was based on ‘acceptance of the disease.’” This shows there is no ‘personality type’ that experiences miracle type healing.

When people relate to illnesses they immediately think of sickness to your physical body, but there are all types of illnesses . Even a broken heart hurts just as much as a broken bone, and broken hearts need healing (Psalm 71:20).

God tells us that He noticed Adam was lonely, so he created a wife named Eve for Adam (Genesis 2:18-22) . This shows us that God feels our pain, no matter what is happening to us. If we are sick , whether it is physical, emotional, or financial , we need healing . If there are family troubles with worry and discord , it hurts us because we are all only human. If we are going through a divorce , that is painful , and we need healing . We need prayer. The children , who are doing poorly in school with failing grades, need prayer . If your
finances are in trouble , you need God's help , guidance , and financial blessings (III John 2) .
As we mentioned, if your finances are in trouble , they need to be straightened out and healed . As an example, every living thing comes from planted seeds , and those planted seeds bring harvests .
In the Bible, Job was a wealthy, healthy, happily married man , but he lost everything , including his money , his land , and his children (Job 1:13-22) . Even his wife told him to curse God and die (Job 2:9) . However, Job had a secret to his success :

he never turned away from God . God saw Job's faith and knew that he was a man of prayer, and God blessed Job with twice as much as he had before , including his wealth , his health , and his family (Job 42:10) . Job received a double portion financial blessing .

This ministry’s prayers are free of charge and miracles are contingent upon the will of God. Your offerings are a form of worshipping God according to scriptures such as Deuteronomy 12:6,11; Malachi 3:10; II Corinthians 9:7. We want you to know that it is one-hundred percent alright if you do not have any money to donate to this ministry. Please do not feel badly; write to us as long and as many times as you need prayer. “According to your faith so be it unto you” (St. Matthew 9:20). Saint Matthew’s Churches prayer team is a small group of praying parents and grandparents whose lives are dedicated to praying for people and mailing out gospel books, sermon prayer letters and other Christian literature. Most of all we pray for people to be saved and be ready to meet Jesus when they die or when Jesus comes. We believe this is the most important thing in life, more important than success or material blessings. But, we also believe that the blessings of God are not limited to salvation of the soul. We believe you can have everything God promises you in the Bible. We believe God wants to bless you, his child, spiritually, physically, and financially (III John 2). We believe God wants his children to prosper and have the nicer things in life (Philippians 4:19). We pray for God to bless folks with their own businesses, more money, finer homes and automobiles. We believe God’s people can have the best of everything. It is God answering prayer, not us, that is making these wonderful things happen for people. Give God the praise.
We write our partners letters each month, all of the same faith-building nature. These items of faith, which we send out along with our letters, have no power but are merely spiritual faith handles like Jesus and His disciples used during their time to help people focus their faith on God.
