INDIANA - Dear Saint Matthew’s Churches, ❝ Praise God, He has answered [p rayer]… I know God makes miracles. He saved my four-yearold from death last year after the doctors gave him up . No one knows what he had. After two spinal taps, two brain waves and brain scope and 250 blood tests, they still found nothing but encephalitis. He had a fever of 106 or higher, lost complete use of his body, and was sick 16 days in the hospital and 5 days at home; only God pulled him through .

Next, I had a heart attack. The doctors thought I would not make it... God started the blood flowing again. Praise God for your prayers. ❝My name is Doris Green, and I’m pleased to meet you… I have always wanted to join hands, in prayer, with your church. I wrote to you. I got your mail; I got your letter through the mail , and I read the letter . I just laid it aside and I kept going back and picking it up and laying it down.
At the same time I was facing a crisis. My husband had walked off and left me with three children, three little girls, small girls.
After I got your letter , then I met another man and he wanted to marry. I was skeptical of marrying again. I wrote to you and asked you to pray with me and help me to make the right decision.
When I got your answer, I was lying in the bed, and I read the letter . You told me to put it under my pillow and I did.
That night, about 2:00 A.M., the Lord woke me and told me, ‘ Get this marriage straightened out right now.’
The next day, I called the man, and I said,

‘Let’s go to the doctor and get a blood test.’ He said, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ I said, ‘You asked me to marry you, didn’t you?’ (Laughter)
So, I want you to know that the Lord blessed me with that husband. He is in the congregation now. And, God blessed us financially. We have two Cadillacs. He has his and I have mine.

“According to your faith so be it unto you” (St. Matthew 9:20). Saint Matthew’s Churches prayer team is a small group of praying parents and grandparents whose lives are dedicated to praying for people and mailing out gospel books, sermon prayer letters and other Christian literature. Most of all we pray for people to be saved and be ready to meet Jesus when they die or when Jesus comes. We believe this is the most important thing in life, more important than success or material blessings. But, we also believe that the blessings of God are not limited to salvation of the soul. We believe you can have everything God promises you in the Bible. We believe God wants to bless you, his child, spiritually, physically, and financially (III John 2). We believe God wants his children to prosper and have the nicer things in life (Philippians 4:19). We pray for God to bless folks with their own businesses, more money, finer homes and automobiles. We believe God’s people can have the best of everything. It is God answering prayer, not us, that is making these wonderful things happen for people. Give God the praise.
We write our partners letters each month, all of the same faith-building nature. These items of faith, which we send out along with our letters, have no power but are merely spiritual faith handles like Jesus and His disciples used during their time to help people focus their faith on God.
