“We feel incredibly fortunate that Terry has this opportunity to attend such a prestigious school. St. Michael’s College School represents not only academic excellence, but a community that truly cares about its students and families. Knowing my son will be able to obtain his education and grow within such a structured and disciplined environment makes me content, especially as a mom raising a teenage boy. Our admissions experience reflected that commitment at every stage, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who played a role in making this dream a reality.” – Ms. Holli Bohl-Newall, Parent

“Fifteen years ago today, my family and I landed in Toronto from Mexico City to start a new life and chase new adventures. What an incredible ride it has been. St. Michael's College School opened its doors so I could complete middle school and high school. It truly helped me develop as a person, allowed me to build amazing lifelong friendships, and set the foundation for who I am today.” - Alejandro Sanchez-Avila ’16

“It is very important for our family that Artem gets an education, which will be an advantage. We share all the principles shared by the school. Artem’s first year was not easy, the main reason was his knowledge of English for learning, not just for speaking. But we saw progress based on the results of the final tests and feedback from teachers. Artem plans to devote a significant part of his summer holidays to classes to show better academic performance next year. He's very motivated. He really likes the atmosphere at school, the learning process, and how classes are conducted. We are glad that he has found friends at school and on his team. We would like to thank everyone for their professionalism, involvement, and quick and clear feedback.” – International Family (Russia) 5

“The support of the teachers, administrators, and staff, and of my classmates, was important in achieving whatever success I’ve had and may have in the future. My busy schedule meant I was out of the country frequently, competing for TFC II or the Canadian National Team, and the teachers were always interested in what I was doing while still holding me to the St. Mike’s academic standards. That truly meant a lot to me.” – Tim Fortier ’26

“I didn't fully accept my faith until I joined a club where Fr. May would get together with a few students and explain the meaning of the bible to us. The stories, their meanings, and what it meant to my faith as a whole is what led me towards getting my confirmation. I am eternally grateful to this school for teaching me how to pursue my faith in my way.” – Jacob DaCambra ’26

“SMCS taught me how to manage my time, stay disciplined, and be willing to work hard. Managing eight classes, with five SMCS practices a week, taught me how to make the most of my time and maintain a healthy schedule. It ingrained a strong desire to strive for excellence and to become the best version of myself. I was also taught how to make the most of the resources available to me, and how to lead both on the court, in the classroom, and outside of school.” – Stefan Lukowski ’26 13

“Model UN is a place to meet people. I didn’t join Model UN because I was particularly interested in global politics, or because I had a deep fascination with interesting roleplay or proper procedure, I joined Model UN because I’m an extrovert who enjoys debate. As much as Model UN is a club that enforces academic rigour and competitive diplomacy, it is also a way to foster communication skills and have personally meaningful dialogue with like-minded people.” – Austin Theal ’26

“I volunteered at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital during March Break as a FIRST Robotics camp volunteer. I wanted to find a different and more hands-on way to give back, and the experience allowed me to support children while contributing to an environment focused on learning, growth, and inclusion. The experience was very eye-opening and humbling, as it showed me the daily challenges many children and families face. It helped me gain a deeper appreciation for resilience and the importance of compassion.” – Luca Tatone ’26

Financial Assistance FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OVERVIEW The Basilian Fathers and St. Michael’s College School understand that tuition and fees are a significant challenge for some families. Families facing financial constraints are encouraged to apply for the Financial Assistance Programme. Each year, approximately $2.5 million in financial assistance is awarded to students and families in financial need. Application for Financial Assistance has no bearing on your son’s application to the school as this is a separate and independent process.

DID YOU KNOW? $2.5 million awarded in financial assistance in 2025-26 1 in 5 students received financial assistance in 2025-26 $35.55 million awarded in financial assistance since 2002

Amounts awarded vary based on family’s financial circumstances and incorporate an expectation that families applying will bear some financial responsibility for their son’s education. Please note that all decisions made by the Financial Assistance Committee are final. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE APPLICATION PROCESS Apple Financial Services, an independent third-party service provider, administers the application process, assesses the submissions, and recommends an amount to the St. Michael’s College School Financial Assistance Committee. Application for Financial Assistance must be completed AT THE SAME TIME as an application to the school. Financial Assistance applications are separate from the school admission application process and are completed online at applefinancialservices.ca. Please create a login and follow the online instructions to complete the application. Applicants must allocate sufficient time to complete the application and secure proper documentation, as incomplete applications will not be processed. Please note the Financial Assistance Programme is only open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have filed tax returns in Canada. The financial assistance application deadline is Tuesday, December 1, 2026. All application inquiries should be directed to Apple Financial Services: 1-866-437-7795. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARD NOTIFICATIONS Families who submit a fully complete application to Apple Financial Services by Tuesday, December 1, 2026, will be notified of the outcome of their application at the same time that an offer of admission is made.
