RUBBER BOOT CONSTRUCTION
Natural rubber is a mix of pure natural rubber mixed with additives to be used in a rubber boot. The rubber compound is rolled and prepared into rubber pieces which is die-cut and hand layered over the boot last. Later the whole boot is vulcanised for 100% waterproofness.

PTFE-FREE MEMBRANE
The Sympatex membrane is “guaranteed green”, which means 100% recyclable like a PET bottle. It is made of polyether/ester, a compound of polyester and polyether molecules that represents no health hazard. It is PTFE-f ree and PFC-f ree and therefore absolutely environmentally f riendly and skin-f riendly
Unlike other membranes, the Sympatex membrane is completely f ree of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene). The production, the landfilling and the combustion can create compounds that are ecologically harmful. PTFE has been criticised increasingly in recent years, because the fluorine compounds that are used for producing PTFE are suspected to be harmful.
Per- and polyfluorinated compounds can also be released into the environment during the burning or depositing of PTFE. There, they can accumulate due to their long-life cycle.

RUBBER CONDITIONER
The rubber and neoprene upper are very durable and clean up easily with water or gentle scrubbing with soap and water remove mud and any chemicals or animal waste. Allow to dry naturally at room temperature, avoid storing your boots in direct sunlight, near to artificial heat or in sub-zero temperatures.
The rubber upper can be conditioned with a spray as SmartRub™ or Gateway1 Rubber Conditioner: it treats the rubber to prevent cracks and drying out. You can also use it for maintaining the zip: unzip the boot and use it as a zipcleaner to remove grit and dust.
For boots without laces it is important you are comfortable with the fit of your boots. To avoid excess wear on the neoprene, ensure any heel slip when walking is minimal. If necessary, consider heel grips to aid fit. For extra comfort, preferably wear wool socks, at least not cotton, to ensure that you do not retain perspiration. Take them of with a bootjack.
Muck Boot, Gateway1 and Nokian Footwear gives a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, however not for wear.
Set of studs
A studding kit included 70 studs. Suitable for all Nokian Footwear boots that can be fitted with studs for traction on snow and ice. A tool for studding included in the kit.
