The days of the week got their names from planets, stars and gods. Sunday is the first day of the week. It got its name from the sun.

Monday got its name from the moon. If you have the Monday blues, you are sad because the weekend has drawn to an end.

Tuesday got its name from the god Tiu. He liked to get up at dawn, yawn, then start a war.

Wednesday got its name from the god Woden. His voice was as smooth as honey.
