PINNACLE

Teams Work

Teams Work!

Success is never achieved alone. It takes collaboration, dedication, and trust in one another to reach new heights. At Smart City Networks, teamwork is the foundation of everything we do, and this quarter has been a powerful example of how working together makes us stronger.

Whether it was supporting the NFL Combine at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium or ensuring seamless connectivity for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at NRG Park, our teams delivered. These largescale events require coordination across the nation, and it was our ability to work as one that made the difference.

STRONG TEAMS ARE BUILT ON CONTINUOUS LEARNING AND A COMMITMENT TO GROWTH.

Strong teams are built on continuous learning and a commitment to growth. That is why I want to recognize the outstanding work of our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The “NOC’s” dedication to certifications and professional development helps us stay ahead in a constantly evolving industry. A special thank you this issue to Mike Malone for sharing his perspective on the importance of certifications and how they enhance the expertise of our entire NOC team.

Teamwork also drives our progress as we look to the future. We discuss the expansion of the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB) and how it is more than just a construction project. We feel it is an opportunity for even more potential. By strengthening our capabilities, we are preparing for the next generation of events and setting the stage for continued success at GRB.

As we celebrate all that and more within the pages of this Pinnacle, we also take a moment to recognize a valued member of our extended family. Matt Voreyer, General Manager of the Safe Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento, has been a trusted industry partner for years and with his recent retirement, we will miss his presence but know that his impact will continue to be felt for years to come. We wish him all the best in his next chapter.

Looking ahead, I have no doubt that our collective efforts will continue to push Smart City Networks forward. Thank you all for the passion, collaboration, and commitment you bring every day. When teams work together, there is no limit to what we can achieve. To the Top!

MARK HALEY President Smart City Networks

PCMA KICKS OFF 2025 WITH A BANG!

As a leader in event technology solutions, Smart City Networks understands the importance of staying at the forefront of the meetings and events industry. Attending industry events like PCMA Convening Leaders this quarter, reaffirms our commitment to collaboration, and leadership.

This January, Smart City Networks joined nearly 4,000 meeting planners and professionals at the 25th annual PCMA Convening Leaders conference in Houston. Held at the George R. Brown Convention Center for the first time in its 70-year history, this influential event was projected to generate $200 million in new business for the city. With Houston’s hospitality sector achieving a record-breaking year in 2024 (securing 740,000 room nights for future meetings), PCMA was a great representation of the strength and growth of the industry.

Smart City Networks sponsored event technology and utilities throughout the conference. By engaging with industry peers and reinforcing our role as a trusted partner, Smart City Networks continues to shape the future of event connectivity. We are grateful to our dedicated local team for their efforts in supporting and connecting these gatherings. A special thank you to our SVP of Operations, Dennis O’Gara, and to our Regional Manager, Chris Wharry, whose leadership helped ensure a successful event.

As we look ahead, Smart City Networks remains committed to driving innovation and setting new standards in event technology. PCMA Convening Leaders was just the beginning of another exciting year!

A BOOST FOR DARRIAN!

Smart City Networks is highlighting Darrian Rilley, a Technical Customer Service Representative at the Atlantic City Convention Center. His commitment to excellence and outstanding customer service have not gone unnoticed.

Chris Pendleton, Director of Regional Operations, shared his appreciation for Darrian’s contributions.

“Darrian has been a key contributor to the success of numerous events in Atlantic City since Ryan McCart (now the General Manager in Phoenix) left. He has received high praise from both the venue and the events held during the first quarter of the year.

Darrian consistently arrives at work eager to learn and deliver exceptional customer service to our clients, always with a smile. Darrian, thank you for all you have done and will continue to do in Atlantic City.”

Smart City Networks is excited to welcome new team members this quarter, with Kimberley Dacosta being just one example of the talented individuals joining our team.

Kimberley is the new Technical Customer Service Representative at the Charlotte Convention Center. She is currently pursuing her Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cyber Security and Network Defense and is set to graduate in June. Her hard work and expertise has already earned her admission to Eastern Carolina University’s Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security program, where she plans to further develop her skills.

We’re thrilled to have Kimberley on board and look forward to the contributions she’ll make as part of the Smart City team. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome and wishing her success in her new role!

A BIG MOVE AND A BRIGHT FUTURE!

Change is in the air at Smart City Networks! Kasandra Williams, formerly the Customer Service & Sales Manager at the San Diego Convention Center, has been promoted to General Manager of Technology Services at the Atlantic City Convention Center. With years of experience and a strong commitment to excellence, Kasandra is well-prepared to take on this exciting new leadership role across the country!

As she embarks on this next chapter, she leaves the San Diego team in capable hands. Alexis has consistently demonstrated professionalism and expertise, making him the perfect choice to continue delivering top-tier customer service. Congratulations to both Kasandra and Alexis on their well-earned advancements!

INTO THE SUNSET

The SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento bid a fond farewell to its General Manager, Matthew Voreyer, in early February. Matt retired after 25+ years of service to the city and has been a cornerstone of the hospitality industry for nearly four decades.

Matt was a strong advocate for keeping the convention center under city management, a decision which ushered in an era of unprecedented success. Yet, beyond his strategic vision, it was his leadership that truly set him apart. Whether city-employed or partner to the facility, he treated everyone as one family, his care and devotion to the craft emanating every day. There are bosses and there are leaders; needless to say, Matt was a sterling example of the latter.

Every morning, Matt would walk into our bullpen-style offices and yell, “GOOD MORNING, TEAM SACRAMENTO!” Beaming with a smile, he would breeze past our offices and great us with a heartfelt, “WHAT’S HAPPENIN’, SMART CITY?!”

Major figures from all over Sacramento attended his retirement party, as well as colleagues, friends and family from all over the country. Smart City Networks’ very own President Mark Haley and SVP Julia Slocombe were in attendance alongside the entire Smart City Sacramento team. Matt’s parting words to his team were:

“Before I ride off into the sunset, I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU one last time for all your hard work and dedication, day in and day out. I know I’ve asked a lot and you’ve always given me your best. Working with you has been an absolute joy and privilege. I won’t miss the long hours, but I will certainly miss all the laughs we’ve shared. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of leading such a talented team of caring professionals.”

Thank you, Matt. From the bottom of my heart, for demonstrating what true leadership looks like, and that it is as simple as caring for those around you. We all miss you every day.

SMART CITY SPOTLIGHT DANIELLA WAGNER

CORPORATE

The Smart City Spotlight recognizes the incredible people behind the scenes, which is why are featuring corporate’s Administrative Assistant II, Daniella Wagner! Get to know Daniella thanks to an insightful conversation! Daniella, this is your Spotlight!

Can you tell us a bit about your background?

D: My first corporate job was as a WorkLife Coordinator for the Walt Disney Company for 10 amazing years. Following this I was offered an Event Manager position with a local dog daycare where I got to plan monthly events (including the inception of our annual dog prom) and run all customer-facing activities. It was a huge change in career but encompassed more of what I enjoy doing day to day.

What does a typical day look like for you?

D: A typical day mostly includes travel management for the entire company. This includes booking flights, hotels, rental cars, trains etc. for anyone who needs to travel within Smart City while managing their itineraries and ensuring their travel runs smoothly. The rest of my day revolves around managing small portions of the office, supply orders, weekly schedules and making sure our fancy coffee machine is working.

Is there an achievement or contribution you’re particularly proud of?

D: This sounds silly, but I am so proud of our new water fountain and fancy coffee machine. I hope it has improved the morale and comfort of our corporate team, and I hope it exemplifies that we care about their happiness, even in a small way.

Are there any lessons you’ve learned here that you think are valuable for others starting in a similar role?

D: Ask questions, consider the details and slow down. A lot of the time, the admin is the last person to see a piece of mail, email, invoice, gift package, itinerary etc. It behooves us to check every last detail and ensure it is correct. Admin work is not necessarily fast work, it’s correct work.

And lastly, what’s something fun that people might not know about you?

D: From ages 5-6 my sister and I did a group of Spanish speaking commercials after being “discovered” at a gas station. We filmed for McDonalds, Hallmark, Pepto-Bismol and Clorox. After the McDonalds commercial, they gifted us all the Barbie toys that came in the Happy Meal, which we still have!

AHOY! TAMPA BAY

Ahoy, Tampa Bay! Every year, the city transforms into a swashbuckling spectacle as Gasparilla invades once more. Since 1904, Tampa has embraced its pirate lore, celebrating the legendary (and likely fictional) José Gaspar, the so-called “last of the Buccaneers.” Some say he was a ruthless pirate who raided Florida’s coast for decades, while others believe his story was a clever creation to boost tourism. Regardless of its origins, Gasparilla has grown into one of the wildest, most exciting events in the country, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Let those pirate flags fly!

Imagine a full-scale pirate invasion as a fleet of pirate boats, led by the massive José Gasparilla (the ship…not the person), sails into Tampa Bay. The pirates then usually “capture” the city, demanding its key from the mayor before kicking off an extravagant parade. The streets come alive with floats, beads, music, and a sea of excited, wannabe pirates decked out in their finest pirate garb, ready to party like it’s the 18th century.

GOING NATURAL

The Anaheim Convention Center was bustling in March as Natural Products Expo West brought together nearly 70,000 attendees and over 3,000 exhibitors for its 44th year! This year’s show unveiled two exciting new pavilions: Conscious Beauty and Wellness Beverage, alongside insightful education sessions on industry trends.

With so many connections happening on the show floor, Smart City Networks ensured seamless communication by delivering a robust wireless network and custom wired and wireless services for exhibitors. Because when innovation meets connectivity, and technology meets hospitality, the possibilities are endless!

For the third year in a row, Smart City Networks partnered with ACE to support nearly 15,000 attendees at the Henry B. González Convention Center in early March.

As attendees unwrapped new products, built business strategies, and networked, our team kept them connected the entire time, because nothing says Merry March like smooth, reliable service!

At Smart City Networks, we take pride in providing cutting-edge telecommunications solutions for some of the best and shiniest boat and automobile shows across the country. This past quarter, our team delivered seamless connectivity at four major events: Discover Boating Minneapolis Boat Show, Miami International Boat Show, Washington, D.C. Auto Show, and Cleveland Auto Show. Each event presented unique challenges and opportunities for our team to showcase our expertise in delivering high-quality network solutions tailored to the needs of exhibitors, attendees, and event organizers. As we like to say at Smart City Networks: Teams Work!

Miami International Boat Show

One of the premier boating events in the world, the Miami International Boat Show, draws thousands of boating enthusiasts, industry professionals, and exhibitors. Smart City played a crucial role in ensuring flawless connectivity throughout the event, both indoors and outdoors. Our team deployed wired and wireless networks while also expanding our infrastructure to outdoor areas including Pride Park.

Smart City Networks was at the forefront of ensuring that exhibitors and event organizers had access to the high-speed internet necessary to power their displays and interactive experiences. Our solutions helped drive the success of this dynamic event.

Cleveland Auto Show

YOU WERE AN INTEGRAL PART OF ENSURING OUR TICKETING PROCESSING SYSTEMS WERE ON POINT.

Unlike some of the more tech-heavy events we service, the Discover Boating Minneapolis Boat Show is a relatively low-tech event. However, connectivity remains a vital component for exhibitors who rely on wireless networks to process sales transactions on-site. Smart City Networks provided a stable and secure wireless network for the event, enabling exhibitors to connect up to 300 devices at peak usage. This reliable connectivity ensured that transactions were processed efficiently, contributing to the success of the event.

At the Cleveland Auto Show, Smart City Networks received high praise for the services we provided. Show Management from the event recognized the exceptional work of Ryan Keenan, a Technician II at the I-X Center, for his role in ensuring seamless internet services. In her words, Ryan was “an integral part of ensuring our ticketing processing systems were on point.” She also highlighted his quick response, hands-on support, and ability to keep the event within budget while maintaining high-quality connectivity. The positive feedback from show management further underscored Smart City’s commitment to professionalism, timeliness, and accuracy.

Each of these events demonstrates Smart City Networks’ unwavering commitment to delivering superior connectivity solutions tailored to the needs of the nation’s top boat and auto shows. Whether supporting large-scale outdoor events, ensuring seamless transactions for show management, or enhancing media coverage, our team continues to set the industry standard for event telecommunications. We look forward to continuing our partnership with these amazing shows in the years to come.

THE MVP OF CONNECTIVITY AT THE NFL COMBINE

At the NFL Combine, hosted at the Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium, Smart City Networks proved once again why we are the MVP of connectivity. Our technology powered seamless operations for NFL teams, media, and medical staff alike.

At Radio Row, 64 tables buzzed with activity as NFL teams and radio stations broadcasted live across the nation. Smart City Networks provided dedicated internet drops for each table, enabling smooth audio and video streaming without interruption.

In the Interview Area, major outlets like ESPN, CBS, and SiriusXM interviewed coaches, GMs, and players. Our robust connectivity supported live updates and broadcasts, ensuring that every word was captured and shared in real time.

Our technology powered seamless operations for NFL teams, media, and medical staff alike.

The Media Work Room, located in the Sagamore Ballroom, was packed with journalists working to cover the action. Thanks to Smart City Networks’ upgraded Wi-Fi, additional access points were not needed, allowing for fast and seamless coverage.

Behind the scenes, we partnered with IU Health to equip Medical Facilities with essential tech. Our data circuits connected medical staff to player records instantly, including X-rays, MRIs, and EKGs, all within the stadium.

Finally, NFL teams used dedicated suites for player interviews, with some choosing hardwired internet lines provided by Smart City Networks for secure, uninterrupted communication.

Smart City Networks’ commitment to innovation and reliability once again proved instrumental in making the NFL Combine a huge success!

A HACK-TASTIC SUCCESS!

In February, Smart City Networks supported Tech Immersion North America 2025 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, a major event featuring a hackathon with over 1,500 users. To ensure success, we installed over 200 Cat5e cables across four meeting rooms and provided more than 1 GB of Wi-Fi bandwidth.

The challenge? A tight 12-hour turnaround between events, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Despite the pressure, our Operations Team rose to the occasion. Led by Danille Castillo, the team, including Earvin Claros, Adolfo Ramirez Jr., Keven Caro, and three technicians from Anaheim (Bryan Flores, Kevin Romero, and Marco Fierro), worked tirelessly to ensure everything was ready on time.

The feedback from Tech Immersion said it all: The hackathon was a great success, and they were grateful to Smart City for making it happen!

POWERING THE INAUGURAL CEREMONIES

On January 20, the world’s eyes were on Washington, DC for the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies, and Smart City Networks was there, delivering seamless connectivity through incredible teamwork. Despite historically low temperatures of 20 degrees, the Smart City DC team at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center was on fire, installing over 750 feet of single-mode fiber to support live broadcasts shown globally.

Our team worked tirelessly to install telephone, cable TV, and internet lines to support press and media outlets, racing against the clock to complete everything before United States Secret Service swept floor ports and IDF closets. In addition, Smart City Networks supported the internal production team, facilitating a live Zoom call to a military base in Korea, broadcast in real-time both onsite and around the world.

SPRING DREAMS AND SEATTLE BLOOMS!

Each February, the Seattle Convention Center bursts into bloom as it hosts the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival, a beloved annual event that transforms the Arch building into a breathtaking showcase of floral artistry and landscape design. This year’s festival, themed “Spring Dreamin’,” featured more than 20 stunning display gardens, an extensive lineup of over 115 educational sessions, and a bustling garden marketplace filled with unique finds for plant lovers of all levels.

Thanks to the city’s wonderful parks, blooming flowers, and breathtaking waterfront views, it is the ideal backdrop for an event like the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival. More blooms and sunshine, please!

WORKING IN TANDEM!

The Smart City Networks team in Hawai’i played a pivotal role in the success of Tandem 2025, a multidisciplinary event focused on cutting-edge advancements in hematopoietic cell transplantation, cellular therapy, and gene therapy. With over 2,500 attendees relying on the network and numerous Zoom meetings happening simultaneously, our team guaranteed precise connectivity throughout the event.

In addition to managing high-volume internet demands, the team set up RFID readers in the ballrooms, relaying real-time data to the registration desk, showcasing our ability to support large-scale events. A special shoutout to Event Coordinator Aria Watts, who went above and beyond by collaborating closely with the client for weeks, both during and outside working hours, to perfect their network setup. This event was a testament to our team’s dedication and technical expertise!

The Virginia Beach Convention Center hosted one of its largest events of the year: the Cheer for Charity 2025 Grand National Championship, held in early March of this year. This enthusiastic cheer and dance competition brought together top cheer teams from across the East Coast to compete for the championship title.

GEORGE R. BROWN EXPANDS!

AN EXCITING NEW CHAPTER IN HOUSTON BEGINS!

Smart City Networks is excited for our longstanding venue partner, the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB), as it prepares for a major expansion. The City of Houston, led by Mayor John Whitmire, recently announced plans for the 700,000-square-foot GRB Houston South building, the first phase of an ambitious plan that will transform the downtown convention district and fuel economic growth.

This new expansion will feature two exhibition halls, Texas’s largest ballroom, and ground-level spaces for retail stores and restaurants. A pedestrian plaza will connect the GRB Houston South to the nearby Toyota Center, creating a transformative downtown Houston for visitors.

As part of the broader vision to remain competitive with other major cities like Dallas and Austin, this expansion is set to open in May 2028, just in time for the Republican National Convention. The project will continue afterwards, with additional plans for an entertainment district to be complete by 2038.

Smart City Networks was happy to be onsite for the big reveal, and to continue our support for GRB. This expansion will ensure the venue remains a top choice for major convention for years to come. Congratulations!

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS IN ORLANDO!

The first quarter of this year has marked significant growth for the Orange County Convention Center, with major events surpassing previous attendance records and driving increased demand for Smart City Networks’ services. Year after year, the center continues to attract larger crowds, and 2025 is proving to be no exception.

Megacon, one of the convention center’s biggest pop culture events, is a notable example of this continued growth. The event set a new benchmark with 180,000 attendees, up from 160,000 in 2023 and 2024, and 140,000 in 2022. This surge contributed to a 43% revenue increase since 2022 and an extraordinary 363% rise in orders for Smart City Networks.

Another example from this quarter would be the return of the American Heating and Refrigeration Expo (AHR Expo), last seen at the center in February of 2020. It further underscored this upward trend, and the event’s resurgence led to a 58% revenue boost and a 44% jump in orders, reinforcing the center’s status as a top-tier destination for industry gatherings.

We want to give a shoutout to our local team in Orlando who always rise to the challenge! With attendance and demand continuing to grow, Smart City Networks remains at the forefront, delivering the connectivity and infrastructure needed to support these expanding events. As 2025 unfolds, the company is ready to meet the increasing technological demands of the Orange County Convention Center’s ever-growing lineup of premier events.

At Smart City Networks, technical expertise is the foundation of our success. As our industry evolves, staying ahead means continuously building our knowledge and skills. Certifications can be a powerful way to deepen your understanding, boost your career, and enhance the support you provide at your center. In this guest article, Wireless Network Administrator Mike Malone shares his personal journey with IT certifications, why they matter, how they shaped his career, and how you can get started.

Calling all technical folks at Smart City Networks!

Have you ever wondered how the switches you plug devices into actually work? Do you want to sharpen your troubleshooting skills to better support your center? Or maybe you already have a solid networking foundation and want to prove your expertise?

If you answered us to any of the above questions, allow me to introduce you to the world of certifications. Becoming certified can be a game-changer, not just for career growth, but also for increasing your confidence in handling complex IT challenges: They certainly were for me!

Why Becoming Certified Matters?

Early in my career, I had the fundamental IT knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues, but explaining the ‘why” behind networking behavior was a challenge. I knew a device needed an IP address to connect to the internet, but when asked about data flow in the OSI model or how exactly a phone connects to Wi-Fi, I was stumped. As such, I took it upon myself to obtain a range of certifications from various IT companies. Pursuing and obtaining these certifications gave me both the structured knowledge and the credibility to prove my skills, leading to real career advancement within the Smart City NOC.

Where to Start?

While there are a ton of certifications throughout the IT industry, there are two certifications I highly urge you to check out, both which I acquired early on for networking:

CompTIA Network+

A great starting point if you’re new to networking as it focuses on general networking concepts no matter what vendor you’re working with. Some of the things you’ll learn with Network+ include:

• The different types of cabling (i.e. Fiber, Ethernet) and networking hardware (i.e what is a router/ switch/etc).

• Key protocols like HTTP/HTTPS (web browsing), DHCP (IP address assignment), and SSH (secure remote access).

• Understanding the difference between public and private IP addresses and when they’re used.

Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA)

Perfect if you already have some networking knowledge and want to dive deeper into topics such as:

• Learning how to configure Cisco switches and routers from scratch.

• Understand how packets are routed using dynamic and static routes.

• Setting basic security such as access control lists and port-security to protect the network from intruders.

• Carving IP addresses to be used in networks through subnetting.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’re interested but unsure where to start, feel free to reach out! I’m happy to guide you towards the right certification and help you level up your networking skills!

But here’s the thing. If you threw all of Smart City’s local teams into a March Madness-style bracket, it’d be the most unpredictable tournament ever. Every team brings something different to the game, yet they’re all united by one goal: delivering stellar connectivity and customer service. That’s what makes Smart City special. No matter where they are or how they operate, hospitality is at the heart of everything they do. That’s my favorite part of working here, getting to interact with General Managers, visiting different centers, and seeing each team’s unique approach to getting things done. There’s always something new to learn from everyone.

So while I may be horrible at picking March Madness winners, one thing’s for sure: when it comes to teamwork, dedication, and delivering an outstanding customer experience, Smart City Networks is always a top seed. Every team, no matter where they are, plays a key role in our success, and it’s that shared commitment to excellence that keeps us winning, year after year. From high-pressure events to small but crucial tasks, we’re always ready to play hard and give it our best shot. Now that’s a bracket worth betting on.

BOOTS ON THE GROUND!

Yeehaw! It’s that time of year again at NRG Park, where the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) kicks into high gear, and Smart City Networks is proud to be at the heart of it all. For years, we’ve been the go-to technology service provider, ensuring everything runs as smooth as a Texan two-step.

From the moment you set foot on the grounds spanning 350 acres, Smart City Networks has your connectivity covered. Whether you’re enjoying the performances of your favorite artists or savoring a glass of wine at the Wine Garden, our enhanced telecommunications and wireless networks ensure you stay seamlessly connected. Why is that important? So attendees can enjoy the full rodeo experience and experience that true Texas magic!

But our role goes beyond just keeping you connected. We’re also behind the scenes, supporting HLSR activation clients with top-notch connectivity solutions. And let’s not forget about safety. Our network supports first responders and keeps an eye on things with camera systems, ensuring a secure environment for all attendees.

A LETTER FROM A CRISTO REY STUDENT WORKER

My experience working as an intern for Smart City has shown me so much about the company and how hard working the employees are. My co-workers taught me about how this company operates, and how many different departments there are. For me, the Marketing Department has been one of departments that has shown me so much about how it works. I’ve learned so much information about the many different types of marketing, and I’ve taken a large number of notes. I learned how complex Marketing can be and how it really helps with future businesses. It has also helped me be creative and use my imagination when creating presentations.

Some other things I am learning about marketing is learning how to market an event. I have to learn what is trending for my event to get popular, and I also have to make a fake social media post to promote my event. I’m currently making a fake invitation to promote my event which fits into Print marketing. All these assignments are helping me learn how marketing really works and how consistent you have to be when it comes to Marketing. It has been really fun making social media campaigns and flyers and this is really helping me trying to figure out what career path I want to take.

The accounting department has also helped me learn so much about checks and bills. It helped me learn to interpret checks and recognize the important information on them. It also helped me to memorize numbers better. Accounting helped me learn so much is about the different convention centers and companies that partner with Smart City. Although I haven’t yet been to all the departments, I have learned a lot about the departments I’ve been in, I hope I can keep learning about Smart City. Working as an Intern here has really put into perspective on how hardworking everyone is, and I greatly appreciate everything I have learned up until now.

KIANA SALOMAO

Kiana consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. When I first got hired, she was very eager to teach me everything, and I could always count on her to help me if I ever got stuck. Last month, Aesop went down the day of the show, and she took the initiative with all the trouble calls by writing them all down, which significantly helped workflow.

Additionally, Kiana always goes above and beyond for me, especially for her team, by constantly offering her help. Her dedication and teamwork make her a valuable member of our team, which is why she’s the perfect candidate for Employee of the Month.

JACOBY BANCROFT

Jacoby’s help with many of the facets of planning and organizing the annual GM meeting has been a vital help to me and others. His willingness to always be of assistance and not afraid of hard work (or physical work) is how he goes above and beyond. The GM meeting would not have been as successful without his help and selfless and caring attitude.

Along with his unwavering GM Meeting assistance, Jacoby is an asset at the office. He is involved in the corporate SWEET Committee and creates fun and interesting team-building trivia and games for the group, while also excelling at his ‘regular’ job.

BRIAN GIVENS

Brian is the most reliable co-worker I have ever encountered. He goes above and beyond not only for the clients, but his coworkers as well. There is never a task too big or too small.

He is the first person to jump in when any assistance is needed. He works weekends, late hours, and any other task asked of him. He never complains, ever. He is always focused on finding the solution, verses dwelling on the problem. Brian is essential to our office running as smoothly as it does.

Brian deserves to feel what an asset his is to Smart City as a whole.
