Bill clocks in at Small hall 58 years festivities
After 58 years on the prime cattle and lamb committee of the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society, local legend Bill Gross has retired. Bill has been committee chairman and chief steward for the past 30 years. On the back page in this week’s edition of the Country Journal, Bill talks to Gerard Walsh about some of the highlights of a very long career of service to the Society-the things that have changed and the things that always stay the same. Bill and wife Nancy also set up Gross Wholesale Meats with the support of sons Howard and Angus Gross and have been significant in the feedlot industry.
