Remembering Liz

Boris the bull is being considered for entry into the 10k walk at the next Olympics after an escapade that ended at New Year’s. The 800 kg Angus bull Boris walked 10km from Gerard Walsh’s Greymare property to the Cunningham Highway at Rodgers Creek, perhaps looking to spend a night or two out on the town in Goondi or Warwick.

Mum and community stalwart, nurse and aged care worker, netballer and swimmer, Liz Marshall was well known across the Southern Downs in almost three decades of work and life. In this edition, Gerard Walsh remembers a wonderful lady who was perhaps best known for decades of service at the Akooramak Care for Older Persons facility.
