Debra Watson Norman
Mrs. Debra Watson Norman is a resident of Orangeburg, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Spelman College, a Master’s degree from South Carolina State University, and a Specialist’s degree from The University of South Carolina.
Professionally, Mrs. Norman has been an educator for over 36 years. She has been a middle school teacher, an elementary guidance counselor, literacy coach and literacy specialist, elementary and high school assistant principal, associate principal, and principal. She has served students in Orangeburg and Clarendon counties. She has also taught courses at South Carolina State University.

Mrs. Norman is a member of several educational organizations: The National EducationAssociation, the South Carolina EducationAssociation, the Orangeburg County EducationAssociation, and the South Carolina Association of School Administrators. She is also a member of the Spelman College Alumnae Association and the South Carolina State University Alumni Association.
Mrs. Norman is a 40-year member ofAlpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was initiated at Spelman in 1981. She has been a member of the Orangeburg graduate chapter of AKA for 36 years. She has served the organization in a variety of positions, such as Membership Chairperson, Corresponding Secretary, and President. Additionally she serves on various committees in the chapter: High School Scholarship, Health and Wellness, and HBCU: ACall for Action. She is also a member of the Graduate Advisors Committee. Mrs. Norman is the Cluster VI Educational Advancement Foundation Ambassador.




Mrs. Norman is the proud mother of a daughter, Taylor, who is also a Spelman College graduate and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
