Saint Michael and All Angels is collecting personal hygiene kits and school supplies for families impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Working with the Diocese of Texas, we are partnering with Holy Spirit Episcopal Church of Houston to respond to the needs of children in three elementary schools: Black Shear, Spring Shadows, and Meadowood. While none of these schools were flooded, many of the families’ homes and businesses were. Many have lost their income and have provided shelter for other families. A list of the needed items are at several locations throughout the church. Put your items in a large ziplock bag and drop it in the clearly marked Mission and Outreach receptacles in the North and South Lanais by October 1. On the Road to Half Million Meals for Hurricane Victims. Saint Michael families and parishioners led a 450 member team including people from several faith groups to add 160,000 meals to the previous 250,000 meals made to support those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. One more session will be offered to meet the goal of preparing 500,000 meals. Watch for details online and in the Sunday News. Discovery – A Course About Our Church.
