The Feast of the Transfiguration commemorates the revealing of Jesus as the Son of God and the fulfillment of the law (represented by the figure of Moses) and the prophets (represented by the figure of Elijah). This invites us into deeper reflection on ways God is revealed in the world and the role we play in the showing forth of his glory.

JUBILEE PARK COMMUNITY CENTER: BOOK BUDDIES

Beginning in September | Mondays – Thursdays | 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Join Jubilee Park as a tutor to provide additional reading instruction to students with the greatest need. Volunteers will spend 30 minutes once a week reading with their Book Buddy beginning in September and lasting until winter break. Orientation and training dates will be made available following sign-ups. Sign up online.

AMISTAD BOLIVIA ADULT MISSION TRIP

Trip dates: October 15 – 22

Serve on the adult mission to Cochabamba, Bolivia. You will spend a week in fellowship with children who have been abused, abandoned, or orphaned and are given the opportunity to grow into independent adulthood through the Amistad Christian Community. Sign up online.

TELA HONDURAS MISSION

Trip Dates: March 4 – 12, 2026

Serve all ages by providing dental services, leading Christian education activities, and completing construction projects. The team works in the local Barrios and with our partner, Espiritu Santo, an Episcopal Church and day school. If you would like to join this team, please sign up online.
