Doug Travis has joined us, and last week’s Feast of Saint Michael and 70th Anniversary was spectacular. This month The Forum - Faith and Literature class will have two of Dallas’ highest elected officials talk about their jobs and their faith, the Rector Search and Transition Committee will discuss findings of the Parish Survey, and we begin getting ready for the Nativity Pageant. There are amazing things happening at Saint Michael. Get connected! Thank you for worshiping with us today. Dallas School Board Member at The Forum – Faith and Society Today. Miguel Solis, a member of the Dallas School District Board, will address The Forum – Faith and Society today at 10:00 in the Saint Michael Chapel. Solis was elected to the Dallas School Board in November, 2013 and served as its president in 2014. He is the executive director of the Latino Center for Leadership Development in Dallas. It’s Time to Give Life - Blood Drive Is Today. The Saint Michael/ Red Cross Blood Drive today, October 4 from 8:00 to 1:00 at the ESD Lower School Lobby. You can drop in. Be a part of National Night Out at Jubilee Park on Tuesday, October 6 from 5:00 to 8:00. It’s an opportunity to support crime prevention, police-community partnerships, and have fellowship with Jubilee Park residents. We need several volunteers to help with the evening’s events. Saint Michael’s Good Shepherds, the neighbor-helping-neighbor ministry, will have its Annual Meeting and Luncheon Thursday, October 8 at 11:30 in the Youth Center. Parish Survey: Results and Conversation Meetings Scheduled The Rector Search and Transition Committee has scheduled four meetings in October to discuss the Parish Survey; your views and the characteristics you want in our new Rector. The meetings will be held: • Tuesday, October 13 • Tuesday, October 20 • Wednesday, October 14 • Sunday, October 25 Please note: the October 4 session has been canceled and the meeting schedule has been updated Details on meeting times and locations are available at www. saintmichael.org/surveymeetings, in the October Archangel, and several locations throughout the Church.
