The Annual Parish Meeting is next Sunday, February 26, at 10:00 in the Church. In addition to reports from the Rector, Senior and Junior Wardens, and Treasurer, elections will be held for five new members to the Vestry, delegates and alternates for the Diocesan Convention, and the Women of Saint Michael officer slate. Children and Parents Stock North Dallas Shared Ministries. Saint Michael children and their parents are headed for North Dallas Shared Ministries today for a Day of Service stocking the Ministries’ shelves with donated food, and learning about its services to the needy. The Kindergarten – 5th grade children have been collecting non-perishable food items throughout the month. Vocal Majority to Perform at Saint Michael Presents March 5. The internationally acclaimed men’s ensemble The Vocal Majority will perform at the Saint Michael Presents concert Sunday evening, March 5 at 7:00. The 100+ men’s chorus has performed around the world and produced more than two-dozen recordings of their diverse repertoire. Training to join one of the Episcopal Church’s largest and most respected Acolyte Corps will be held next Saturday, February 25. The session will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 in the church. Only one session is required. Jubilee Park Needs Book Buddies. Book Buddies is a one-on-one reading/mentoring program for O.M. Roberts 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students having challenges with reading. Honduras Threads Holding Briefing on Summer Mission Trip. An information meeting about this summer’s Honduras Threads mission trip will be held today in Bishop Moore Chapel at 10:00. Honduras Threads works with women in village co-ops to create and market native-designed pillows and tapestries. The meeting will outline the workshops to help the women develop their skills. Dr. Charlotte Decoster, Director of Dallas’ Holocaust Museum will be the speaker at the Prime Timers’ luncheon Thursday, March 2. Rector Chris Girata has appointed a five-person search committee to find the church’s new organist/choirmaster. Former Senior Warden Stewart Thomas will chair the group which includes Kelley Christian, Suzanne Lipscomb, The Rev. Lisa Flores Musser, and Vestry member Chris Wiley. The committee expects to call a new organist/choirmaster this summer. James Diaz and Hyeon Jeong, choirmaster and associate, have announced they are leaving Saint Michael following Easter.
