Come share in a day of impact and fellowship at the fourth annual Day of Service at Jubilee Park and Community Center. This event provides a unique opportunity to connect with friends while learning more about ongoing needs and service opportunities at Jubilee. All are welcome, and there are many opportunities to serve. Volunteers can choose to read to children at OM Roberts Elementary, lead preschool activities at Davids‘ Place, rock babies at Jeanie’s place, lead senior bingo, or help garden to beautify the campus. SOLEMN COMMUNION CLASS Sunday, April 26 & May 3 | 10 a.m. Led by The Rev. Mary Lessmann Solemn Communion is a class being offered for intentional formation around Holy Communion for children. The class, open to children ages 6 to 8 and their parents, will be offered by The Rev. Mary Lessmann during the 10 a.m. Sunday School hour for two weeks on April 26 and May 3. Then, on Sunday, May 10 (Mother’s Day) these children will receive Solemn Communion during the 9 a.m. church service. This class will coincide with our ongoing Class for Parents. If you are interested in having your child participate in Solemn Communion preparation, please contact Regan Wallace at rwallace@saintmichael.org. ST. MARY’S GUILD 70th BIRTHDAY Sundays | 8:30 to 11 a.m. The greet-and-eat “happenin’ place” between services on Sunday mornings is the South Entrance, where St. Mary’s Guild members set up their weekly “Feed Your Soul” bake sale table. Parishioners can enjoy coffee and a quick bite or buy baked goods to take home. Ask about the $15 loyalty card, a punch card that makes 75-cent purchases easy. The weekly bake sale provides a great opportunity to visit old friends and welcome newcomers in the heart of our church fellowship space. As St. Mary’s Guild celebrates its 70th birthday year, keep the tradition alive by visiting the bake sale table between 8:30 and 11 a.m. on Sundays. CHORAL COMPLINE | UNTIL MAY 5 Sundays | 8 p.m. | Chuch Choral Compline is offered every Sunday in a candlelit church at 8 p.m. This entirely chanted service, sung by the Compline Choir, is a wonderful way to increase your prayer life and spirituality during Lent.
