Epiphany is one most beautiful nights of the year at Saint Michael. The congregation gathers in the church for a candlelit service that concludes with a procession out to the Garden Cloister for the ceremonial Burning of the Greens and hot chocolate and s’mores.

Wednesdays, January 15 - March 11 Did you grow up in the Christian faith but still search for the right words to articulate it? Are you exploring the Christian faith? This course will explore the basic tenets of the Christian faith and provide the opportunity for asking the tough questions. Topics will include: How do we know Jesus lived, and who was He? Why did He die? How can we have faith? How do we pray? How do we read the Bible? Dinner is provided with registration, although we suggest a $10 fee to cover costs. Childcare is available at no cost with pre-registration. We ask that attendees make a commitment to attend most classes and the retreat because the lessons build on each other and attending the whole course offers the richest experience. WRITING WORKSHOP | JAN. 18 Saturday, January 18 | 10 a.m. - Noon | Parlor Led by Cynthia Sample and Carol Roehrig Join with other writers of all types to give yourself the gift of Writing Retreat, a two-hour empty space for exploring, plowing through, or opening yourself up. Writers will initially be offered a simple prompt to get the juices flowing should that need be present. One and a half hours of (caffeinated) silence will ensue for writers to pursue their own projects or try something new. The last half hour will offer a space for sharing (or not) our sentences with others. Please note that no prior or professional training is necessary to participate.
