In Saint Michael Chapel This program year, many of our adults will continue their journey of formation by engaging in “Our Story.” If God’s Story, the Bible, represents the Scripture leg of the three legged stool of Anglican Faith, then “Our Story” represents the Tradition leg (the third leg, Reason, will be our focus the following year with “My Story”). EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY | RESUMES AUG. 27 Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-noon or 6:30-9:15 p.m. Drake Room | Led by Elizabeth Lang Education for Ministry is a program for adult Christian education that combines study of scriptures, Christian history, and theology with a focus on ordinary experience in order to discern God’s presence in one’s life. The program comes from the Episcopal Seminary at Sewanee and has become famous for educating adults to see God acting through their lives as well as developing knowledge of scripture and theology. Registration required. $365 tuition/year. Partial scholarships are available. (Weekly class attendance for 9 months). There are two spaces in the morning class and one in the evening class. SAINT MICHAEL HOSTS THE GATHERING | AUG. 25 Saint Michael is hosting The Gathering at Thanks-Giving Square on Sunday, August 25 at 1 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth H. Brannon will be officiating. Please consider cooking on Saturday for the 125 people who attend The Gathering and/or worshipping and serving the lunch on Sunday following the service.
