Our fundamental rationale for releasing this report is that as an organisation, we felt it important to continue to provide NSW-specific data and analysis.
This will continue to inform policy makers and other stakeholders, as we work together toward reducing the coastal drowning death toll.
It has been another busy year for our volunteer surf lifesavers. During the course of the season our members performed:
• 4,377 rescues
• 145,454 preventative actions
• 11,972 first aid treatments
• 564 ambulances were tasked to attend incidents
