Now let’s pull some G forces on this set up. Carving, jibbing and jumping puts enormous forces on the fuselage-to-wing connection. Our Flat-Loc™ Fuse-toWing connection is designed like a wrench on a nut.

TITANIUM BOLTS Nothing beats the strength of this precision milled Titanium hardware.

MASTS Slingshot uses the same Hover Glide aluminum mast platform for all our foil disciplines (kite, wake, sup and wind). We are the only foil company that can claim our mast has been tested and proven for years, by thousands of foil-boarders in three other foil sports. It is the stiffest and strongest aluminum mast on the market. Our masts are 2.5X thicker than the competition and designed specifically to take the enormous loads that windsurfing puts on the foil and mast. Windsurfing requires more stiffness and durability than kiteboarding, wakeboarding, surfing or SUP. Extruded from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, each mast is optimized by CnC machining to reduced drag and eliminate vibration. Masts are also tempered and anodized for saltwater resistance.

HOVER GLIDE TUTTLE CONNECTOR SKU# 18711002 Integrated Tuttle base designed for Deep Tuttle boxes for maximum strength and elimination of movement. Designed with an integrated base flange that transfer loads over a larger area of the board, not just the Tuttle box. This feature is critical if you expect to use a foil with an existing board. 15 inch (38cm) mast: Getting a feel for how your foil behaves is much easier and safer with a shorter and more manageable mast. Step 1 of Foiling Flight School is called the Taxi Stage, as in an airplane taxiing around a runway. Get off the beach and onto the water with a 15” mast. This stage will let you discover all you need to know about the feel, handling, drag, foot position and yes, that first element of flight

24 inch (61cm) mast: The 24-inch mast is an invaluable tool in accomplishing your first controlled foil rides. As you rise and fall off of the water, you will begin to foil longer in-between. Develop proper muscle memory while experiencing low level sustained flight.

30 inch (76cm) mast: After working your way up to the 30-inch mast, you’ll truly appreciate the Foiling Flight School program and the easy progression it provided. Get a sense of leaning out, pushing and working on your up wind angles, downwind and across the wind. In addition, you will also be starting jibes and tacks in the Solo stage.

FAQS What foil should I choose? If you are just getting into foils and you weigh over 170, start with the Hover Glide FWIND1. Check our wind chart. This will help you determine your target range. For smaller sailors we recommend the Hover Glide FWIND2 in light wind. If your assertive and want to ride in higher winds, go with the FWIND2. Once you have a Hover Glide FWIND1 or 2 you will have the freedom to build the foil you want by adding parts with our Modular System.

Why would I want to change my foil later? Once you learn to foil the sport will speak to your riding style. You may want light wind performance, speed, jumping, shallow water, lighter weight etc. We have built a modular platform that includes 5 wing options, 4 aluminum mast lengths, 5 carbon Tuttle and 5 carbon pedestal mast lengths and 5 fuselage lengths.

Why so many mast lengths? Foiling flight school is a learning tool. Once you learn to foil you may want a shorter mast for shallow or smooth water.

Longer mast offer a more dynamic ride, more fun in the turns and are better for rougher water.

Why so many modular options? You may only need a couple desirable options for Windsurfing. But the cool thing is that once you learn to foil. You’re a foil border. You may want to use the foil on your SUP, Kiteboard, Surfboard. There are no limits with our system. Not buying twice is great feature.

Can I use your boards for regular windsurfing?

Yes. For sub-planing conditions the Flyer is awesome. For best results in high wind choose the Dialer series. This is a very good all-around shape that has a construction optimized for foiling.

Why do you use 10MM bolts for the Tuttle box?

We have tested extensively for years. Everything else smaller eventually broke. 10mm, does not break.

Can I use a normal windsurf board with Slingshot foil? We can’t recommend normal windsurf boards because the board’s box will eventually break. We tested many boards during our development and we know the pitfalls. With this said we know people will end up using regular boards for foiling. This is why we invented the Switch Fuse. It really helps

for tuning your foil stance to your existing board. If you do choose to use a regular board, the wider the board, the better.

If your wings are 100% carbon why do they have color on them? We have found color to be an important safety feature. It’s a nice benefit to see your foil under water. We limit the amount of paint we use with our sanded finish. Solid paints are prone to chipping.

Why would a kite company go into windsurfing?

Tony and Jeff Logosz have been windsurfing since 1979. The sports we participate in don’t define us.
