1. GENERAL INFORMATION This Limited Warranty Manual provides our dealers with essential information concerning the warranty and limitation of liability on Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. products.
If any part covered by a manufacturer or supplier warranty is defective, the dealer should first contact the manufacturer or supplier. The dealer may contact Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. to request our assistance, if needed.
It is important that each dealer carefully reads and understands the information in this Limited Warranty Manual.
Inquiries This Limited Warranty Manual was designed to provide our dealers with the information normally required to handle warranty requests. Our contact information is provided below if you need additional information. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. 559 Okanagan Avenue, East Penticton, British Columbia V2A 3K4 Toll Free 1-800-495-6145 Telephone 250 493-6145 Fax 250 492-7756 www.slimlinemfg.com
Design Changes Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. reserves the right to: make improvements in design,
change materials and specifications, and
make any other changes to its products At any time without notice without incurring any obligation with respect to any Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. product previously sold or shipped by Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. has no obligation to install these improvements or changes on products previously sold.
Pre-approval for Modification of Products Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. requires the dealer to obtain written pre-approval for modification to the design of any Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. product, repair part or accessory. Pre-approval does not automatically guarantee warranty coverage on the modification. Without written pre-approval, any modifications made to a Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. product void the Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. warranty.

2. DEALER’S RESPONSIBILITIES This chapter outlines the dealer’s responsibilities with respect to the Limited Warranty and the Purchaser.
Confirmation of Shop Labor Rate for Repairs
Proper Use of the Purchased Product The dealer must ensure that the product is being purchased for use in an operation for which it has been designed.
Purchaser’s Responsibility for Safety and Maintenance
Before December 31 each year, all dealers must send Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. a letter confirming their labor repair rate regardless of whether it has changed from the previous year.
The dealer must inform the purchaser that: The purchaser must heed all safety and product warnings.
If the dealer’s labor repair rate changes during the year, the dealer must, within thirty (30) days of any change, send written notification to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd.
Protective shielding is provided as standard equipment on all Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. agricultural products. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. strongly recommends its use. Purchasers who elect to remove or to not use this protective shielding do so at their own risk.
Review the Limited Warranty with the Purchaser
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to make sure that the specified maintenance in the Owner’s Manual is performed in order to keep the limited warranty in effect.
Proper maintenance of the PTO clutch is imperative. See the maintenance procedures for each PTO clutch in Appendix A in this Limited Warranty Manual.
Warranty claims are reimbursed to the dealer based on the previous year’s labor repair rate that is on file with Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. No warranty claims will be considered until Slimline Manufacturing Ltd has received this confirmation letter.
The dealer must: Review the Limited Warranty with the purchaser at the time the Purchase Order is prepared. This must take place BEFORE the sale is completed.
Provide the purchaser with a copy of the Limited Warranty for the product they have purchased.
Record the date of delivery of the product on the Warranty Registration Card and return the card to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. See the example of the Warranty Registration Card in Appendix B of this Limited Warranty Manual.
Complete and return the Dealer Delivery Report to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd., securing their acknowledgment of delivery of the Limited Warranty on the Dealer Delivery Report. See the example of the Dealer Delivery Report in Appendix C of this Limited Warranty Manual.
Advise the purchaser that they must notify the dealer of any product defect and request its repair within the warranty term.
In the case of a second-time sale, immediately provide Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. with notice in writing of the details of the second-time sale. Explain to the second-time purchaser that the warranty for the product is reduced to the balance of the time remaining on the original warranty.
Products Authorized for Repair by the Dealer The dealer, following delivery of the product by the purchaser to the dealer’s place of business, will perform the warranty repairs or replacement work only if the repair is included in Chapter 6 Labor Repair Time Allowance of this Limited Warranty Manual. Any repair that is not listed in Chapter 6 Labor Repair Time Allowance requires written pre-approval by Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. If pre-approval has not been obtained for these repairs, they will be the financial responsibility of the dealer making the repair.
Determining if the Product is Defective The dealer is responsible for determining whether any product listed in Chapter 6 Labor Repair Time Allowance that is returned for warranty is defective in material or workmanship. The dealer must conduct a thorough inspection of any failed part before advising the purchaser that the Limited Warranty will cover the repair. During the inspection, the dealer must determine if the failure was due to incorrect operational use or as a result of a maintenance procedure. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. is not required to cover the repair if the inspection reveals

that the failure was due to incorrect operational use or as a result of a maintenance procedure.
and service the warranted products may perform the repair at its location.
If any part is found to be defective, the dealer must submit a Warranty Claim Form to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. along with evidence of the defect. See Chapter 5 Warranty Reimbursement, for information on how to complete the Warranty Claim Form. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. commences its warranty claim process after receipt of the Warranty Claim Form and the proper supporting documentation. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. then makes one of the following decisions: accept the warranty claim together with supporting documentation of the failed part or
Return Dealer Delivery Report and Warranty Registration Card
request additional information and perhaps request that the part be returned for inspection or
Reject the request.
The dealer’s authorized representative and the purchaser must sign the Dealer Delivery Report and the Warranty Registration Card in the appropriate places.
Permission to Use an Alternate Dealer When the purchaser has moved a long distance from the dealer, or the dealer is no longer in business, any Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. dealer authorized to sell
The dealer must complete a Dealer Delivery Report and Warranty Registration Card for each product sold. Return the white copy of the Dealer Delivery Report together with the Warranty Registration Card to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. within thirty (30) days of delivery of the product. See the examples of the Warranty Registration Card and the Dealer Delivery Report in Appendix B and Appendix C, respectively, in this Limited Warranty Manual.
Failure to properly complete and timely return the Dealer Delivery Report and the Warranty Registration Card may affect the product warranty.

Replacement is done free of charge for both parts and labor using genuine Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. replacement parts.
Replacement of a Complete Assembly
Repair or replacement in accordance with this limited warranty shall constitute fulfillment of all liabilities of Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. and the dealer in respect to such products.

Warranty Period and Start Date Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. warrants that the products listed in the table below will be free of defects in material or workmanship for the specific warranty periods shown in the table when used in accordance with the Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. For additional information, see Appendix F Replacement of a Complete Assembly, in this Limited Warranty Manual.
This limited warranty is for the benefit of the first or subsequent purchaser when the product is purchased from an authorized Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. dealer. The dealer may transfer the balance of the limited warranty on a pre-owned product to a subsequent purchaser. Notification to Transfer Limited Warranty For the balance of the limited warranty to be effective to a subsequent purchaser, the dealer must record the transfer on a new Warranty Registration Card, indicating on the card that the sale was for a pre-owned product. The card must be signed by the dealer and the purchaser and forwarded to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd., within thirty (30) days of delivery of the product. See the example of the Warranty Registration Card in Appendix B of this Limited Warranty Manual. Calculating the Remaining Limited Warranty on a Pre-Owned Product The Limited Warranty available to a purchaser of a preowned product is reduced to the remainder of the original limited warranty period. 5. WARRANTY REIMBURSEMENT This chapter provides information on how to complete and submit a warranty claim. Before any dealer prepares a warranty claim, they should refer to the procedures outlined in this Limited Warranty Manual and only submit claims for the warranted products listed in Chapter 6 Labor Repair Time Allowance. A dealer may contact Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. if they feel they have a legitimate warranty claim on a product that is not listed in Chapter 6 Labor Repair Time Allowance. Repairs or replacements under this Limited Warranty are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. shall, at its option either repair or replace, free of charge, any such part found, upon examination by Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. to be defective in material or workmanship.
Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. issues numbered Warranty Claim Forms. Dealers should ensure that they have a supply available to avoid delays in processing their claims. Only Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. numbered Warranty Claim Forms will be considered for warranty processing.
Only one claim may be processed on each Warranty Claim Form. Use a separate numbered Warranty Claim Form for each serial-numbered product.
The serial number of the product must be on the Warranty Claim Form to enable Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. to determine if the product is registered and under warranty.
When completing the Warranty Claim Form, note the following important information:
The dealer must have a confirmation letter on file with Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. confirming their previous year’s labor repair rate before any warranty claim will be considered. Before submitting a warranty claim, see the information in Chapter 2 Dealer’s Responsibilities, under the heading, Confirmation of Shop Labor Rate for Repairs.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
The Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. limited warranty does not cover non-Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. parts.
DEALER COST plus
The PART NUMBER must be written on the Warranty Claim Form in the space provided.
The APPROVED LABOR RATE is the flat rate labor charge that the dealer confirmed in writing to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. as their previous year’s shop rate.
15% or multiplier of 1.15 is the price the dealer paid (dealer net cost) on the invoice x 1.15 for parts that were used to complete the warranty work.
To obtain warranty service, the dealer must, within thirty (30) days of the repair date, submit a Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. numbered Warranty Claim Form to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. Carefully review all sections in this chapter prior to completing the Warranty Claim Form.
Procedure for Completing and Submitting a Warranty Claim Form
The pink copy is to be sent to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. and the white and yellow copies are for the dealer’s files.
Email claim to officemanager@slimlinemfg.com or Submit the completed Warranty Claim Form together with detailed claim support records to: Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. 559 Okanagan Avenue East Penticton, B.C Canada V2A 3K4
It is important that all warranty claims submitted for reimbursement be accurate and complete. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. will be able to quickly process claims if the dealer carefully reads and follows the instructions in this chapter. Before any warranty claim may be considered, all products must have a Warranty Registration Card and Dealer Delivery Report completed, signed and returned to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. These should be completed at the time of the sale of the product. If the product is not registered, the warranty could be considered void. The claim will be returned to the dealer if a claim is placed and the Warranty Registration Card and Dealer Delivery Report are not on file with Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. See the examples of the Warranty Registration Card and the Dealer Delivery Report in Appendix B and C, respectively, in this Limited Warranty Manual.
Claim Support Records Claims are not considered for warranty until Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. has the following documents on file showing the serial number and the date of the sale of the product: 1. a completed Warranty Claim Form 2. a completed Warranty Registration Card 3. a completed Dealer Delivery Report If the above three items are not sent to Slimline within thirty days (30) of the sale of the product, and there is uncertainty of the date of the sale, it may be necessary to provide a copy of the original sales invoice from the

dealer to the purchaser, showing the serial number and the date of the sale of the product.
the dealer in writing that they are free to destroy or dispose of the part.
There may be other supporting claim information requested by Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. depending on the nature of the warranty claim.
Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. and its suppliers may occasionally request the return of failed parts to support the warranty claim and to assist their Engineering Department in diagnosing the problem and developing a subsequent correction.
Outside Services If the dealer is unable to perform a function of the warranty repair and must contract this portion of the repair to an outside supplier (i.e. Welding services) the dealer must obtain written permission from Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. to perform this repair. The dealer must also submit a copy of the actual invoice from the outside services vendor for the cost of the repair with the warranty claim.
Notice of Claim Status A letter is sent to the dealer if their warranty claim has been denied.
Payment and Reimbursement All warranty claims are paid to the dealer by a check from Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. following submission and approval of the warranty claim.
Invoices for Parts Covered Under Warranty It is possible for a dealer to have a warranty job completed, submitted and a check received before the parts invoice is due. Note that parts ordered for warranty work are not differentiated from other parts. Therefore, all invoices for parts are payable within 30 days, regardless of whether the dealer does not perform the warranty work or does not issue a Warranty Claim Form.
Procedure for Returning Parts The dealer must not return any parts to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. without first obtaining written consent by Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. Once consent has been received, the dealer must obtain a Returned Goods Authorization Number (RGA#) from Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. All parts returned must be identified with this number. Any parts that are returned to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. must first be steam cleaned leaving no visible signs of surface dirt or grease. Retention of Parts Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. requires the dealer to retain the parts replaced under warranty until a Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. representative has inspected the worn parts, or for a minimum of ninety (90) days, unless a Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. representative advises
Request for Return of Defective Product If Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. requests that the dealer return the defective product for examination, it must be returned to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. Proof of the purchase date and an explanation of the defect must accompany the returned product. Parts on Recommended Parts Stocking List Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. distributes to the dealers from time-to-time, a list of parts that the dealer must stock to service their purchasers. See a copy of this list in Appendix E Recommended Parts Stocking List for Dealers, in this Limited Warranty Manual. The freight charges on these parts are not covered by Slimline Manufacturing Ltd., but are the responsibility of the dealer, even if they are required for warranty use. Slimline Manufacturing has allowed a 10% markup for the dealer for costs incurred for freight. Parts Not on Recommended Parts Stocking List Parts that are not on the recommended parts stocking list that are being used for warranty work are invoiced for freight; however, the freight may be claimed back on the Warranty Claim Form. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. pays the standard cost of UPS ground delivery only to a maximum of 70 pounds. Deliveries exceeding the maximum 70 pounds are sent less than load (LTL). Note that all parts, whether for warranty or resale, are assessed freight. Defective New Replacement Parts All claims for damaged or defective replacement parts, that may be the responsibility of Slimline Manufacturing Ltd., as to which Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. shall be the sole judge, shall be made within 24 hours of their installation.
Warranty Claim for a Complete Assembly Returning a Complete Assembly Prior to commencing any work on a complete assembly, the dealer must contact Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. to determine whether the repair cost could be less than the replacement cost of the complete assembly. If Slimline Manufacturing confirms that the warranty claim may be considered for a complete assembly, the dealer must,
February 1, 2019

within thirty (30) days after contacting Slimline Manufacturing Ltd., return the assembly to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. for inspection after first receiving written pre-approval to ship the failed assembly. Once this written consent has been received from Slimline Manufacturing Ltd., the dealer must request a Returned Goods Authorization Number (RGA#) from Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. Any assembly returned must be identified with this number.
Diagnostic Time for a Complete Assembly Diagnostic time is allowed to the dealer to determine the cause of failure. See the information in Appendix H Diagnostic Time for Complete Assemblies. When returning a complete assembly for warranty to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd., it must not be returned in a disassembled state and must first be steam cleaned leaving no visible signs of surface dirt or grease. An assembly claim will not be considered until all of the original parts have been returned to Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. for inspection.

6. LABOR REPAIR TIME ALLOWANCE The dealer must have a confirmation letter on file with Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. confirming their previous year’s labor repair rate before any warranty claim will be considered. Before submitting the letter, see the information in Chapter 2 Dealer’s Responsibilities, under the heading, Confirmation of Shop Labor Rate for Repairs.
over the past twelve years. This list is restricted to products that were repaired and so not all parts have been included. Following the repair of any product in this chapter with a LEVEL #1 displayed in its table, Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. has adopted a standard policy of requiring the dealer to test the product. See the additional information under the heading, Testing, in this chapter.
Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. has set the flat rate labor repair time allowance in this chapter after averaging the times on warranty claims that were submitted by dealers
STEAM CLEANING Due to the nature of the products, Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. requires all repairs to be performed in a location that allows for the supervision and cleaning of the product before any repairs are performed. Therefore, all repairs to products that have been operating in the field prior to the warranty claim are allowed a specific flat rate time for cleaning. DESCRIPTION Steam Cleaning

Appendix A—Run-In Procedure Open Spring Clutch in Machines—Prior to 1998
This procedure is necessary for all new clutches and any clutch that has not been used for approximately 30 days. Read all of the instructions before starting this procedure.
Tools required: ½ ״box wrench or socket and torques wrench 1. Make sure the tractor is off and the PTO is disengaged. 2. Disconnect the driveline from the tractor. 3. This step is extremely important—Use the scale or Vernier to measure the lengths of all the springs. You must be as accurate as possible as a difference of 1/64 ״in resetting can make a 15% difference in torque. 4. Locate the six (6) bolts on the clutch. Reduce the load on the bolts evenly to avoid damage to the clutch. Loosen the six (6) bolts a one-half turn per bolt at a time until all the bolts are just loose and then tighten all bolts one turn. 5. Reconnect the driveline to the tractor. 6. Start the tractor. 7. Engage the PTO clutch and run for a few seconds or until the friction clutch visibly smokes, at which time disengage the PTO. 8. Turn the tractor off and disconnect the PTO from the tractor. 9. Tighten the six (6) bolts a one-half turn per bolt at a time until the desired spring length of 2.050 si ״ achieved. It is very important that you be as accurate as possible in obtaining the spring length of 2.050״.

APPENDIX I—COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS How do I get warranty coverage for my customer? What is required? 1. 2. 3.
Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. must have the Warranty Registration Card & Dealer Delivery Report on file prior to warranty submittal. Samples of forms are in Appendices B and C. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. must have a letter stating the shop rate for that year on file from the dealership stating the shop rate for the business year prior to warranty submittal. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. must have a Copy” of the Warranty Claim Form. This can be done via email, regular post or fax. A sample of the form is shown in Appendix D. Warranty Card: Warranty is null and void until a warranty registration card is completely and correctly (at time of the sale) and has been received at Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. factory. Should a warranty claim be submitted without a warranty registration card on file at Slimline Manufacturing Ltd the dealership will be notified by way of email. The dealership will then be required to provide a copy of the sales document along with a filled out warranty registration card and or a competed Dealer delivery report. Dealer Delivery Report: (DDR) Warranty is null and void until a completed DDR has been received at Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. Should a warranty claim be submitted DDR on file at Slimline Manufacturing Ltd the dealership will be notified by way of email. The dealership will then be required to provide a copy of the sales document along with a filled out Dealer Delivery Report.
How do I fill out the Warranty form? 1. 2. 3. 4.
5.
Customer name and address must match the warranty registration card because warranty cards are filed by customer name. It is imperative that your warranty claim form information match your warranty registration. Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. part numbers must be clearly marked on the form and quantity used. Parts that are on the dealer-stocking list do not qualify for additional freight charges—only items that are not on the stocking list qualify for freight charges. Remember it is Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. discretion to use the most cost effective ground shipment of warranty parts. The warranty claim parts cost is calculated by multiplying Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. dealer net price by 1.10 to establish dealer warranty price.
Parts order for warranty repair 1. 2.
Parts orders that are not on the dealer-stocking list are due 30 days after receipt. The customer unit not being available to install parts is not a reason not to pay for those parts ordered for warranty related issues.
How long will it take to get paid for my warranty claims? 1.
If all information is provided as presented in the aforementioned sections all standard warranty claims will be placed into a 30-day payable file.
