A key to complete canopy coverage with minimized water usage is the ability to maneuver your sprayer quickly and efficiently, allowing you to drive further out of the row without having to turn the booms off. This gives you better coverage on the last trees in your rows. No stopping required. The Turbosteer provides you with a 90-degree turning radius with the PTO fully engaged. That means getting into and out of tighter spots; it means tight row configurations are no problem; it means you can achieve continuous spraying without repeated stops and starts. spray) and leave it there all year, put some in at least every other row to allow the operator to make sure they are reaching the target. This is what costs the pennies, literally. 2 Pick a higher gear on your tractor that allows you to travel the same speed but at a PTO speed of around 350 rpm, instead of 540. This will result in your engine rpm dropping significantly, depending upon the make/model. By traveling the same speed your calibration will remain exactly the same. You will need to do a sprayer speed test to confirm your ground speed, this is important. 3 As long as the surveyor tape is moving as you pass, you are getting coverage.
