As we head towards the end of the 2021and look forward to 2022, we at Slifer Smith & Frampton (SSF) have much to be thankful for starting with the trust that our clients place with us in assisting them in navigating the current fast-paced market.

I hope you enjoy perusing our newly redesigned and widely distributed Luxury Collection and Portfolio of Properties, for nearly 30 years the SSF Portfolio has been the leading catalogue of Vail Valley properties. New to the publication this year are stories about the people and places that make the Vail Valley a world class mountain destination as well as a new cover design and updated feel.

With regards to the market, strong demand and low inventory continue to drive prices up across the Vail Valley. As 2021 comes to close SSF has reached more than $2.5 billion in closed sales, with regards to the overall market both transactions and dollar volume are up. Once again, SSF is the market leader in the luxury segment with 40 percent of the market share of sold properties priced above $4 million.

Prices are rising from Vail all the way to Edwards and beyond to Gypsum, with prices persquare-foot and average sales prices still climbing across all markets. In fact, the average price in Eagle County is currently approaching $1.5 million in 2021 which was driven in part due to an uptick in sales within the luxury property segment which is a trend that we expect to continue in 2022.

Nothing is more important to us here at SSF than our community. That’s backed up each and every day by our firm’s brokers and through our philanthropic work with the Charitable Foundation of Slifer Smith & Frampton which has donated over $2.2 million to local charities.
