Built in 1901 Seven Hundred Pearl has been through a few reincarnations. Originally the Racket Grocery store which served the Boulder mining community for 30 years, the industrial style building was designed with high ceilings and store front windows facing on to Pearl street.

INTERIOR DESIGN BY KARI WHITMAN
No expense was spared in this home with one of a kind interior design installations including:

• 9 ft glass panels from an old New York City pre-war high rise about to be demolish repurposed as shower walls, and sliding doors.
• Living walls, a hanging bed, two hanging love seats, recycled French street lamps, sliding steel doors, steel floors, recycled teak floor by Indoteak Design and Kitchen appliances and cabinetry from Gaggeenau.
• A headboard and some walls made from over 300 recycled Ralph Lauren and Ecodomo leather belts.

• Turkish travertine and Italian stone slab are some of the materials and components used in the upscale and sophisticated space.
• A living wall of moss and sage grows in the bathroom and hallway, bringing balance and life to the industrial space.

In 2017 Celebrity Designer Kari Whitman of Kari Whitman Interiors and the current owners reimagined the space. The interior design was captured on the cover of several national and local publications, including Colorado Homes and Gardens and Modern in Denver. The design of the residence, pays homage to the history of the building, where no drywall was used in the home, showcasing the original brick structure. The interior was completely stripped down to the studs and recreated using 80% repurposed or recycled materials.
