STRAIGHT-WRAP Removable Insulation Blanket
STRAIGHT-WRAP , is a unique insulation cover developed by Straight Line Industrial Services Inc. Especially designed for the use within the processing industries, the blankets provide protection from the elements, thermal efficiency personnel Protection.
Insulated blankets or pads are commonly used in industrial facilities to cover: Transmitters, Level Gauges, Micromotions, Flanges, Valves, Expansion Joints, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Turbines, Tanks, and other irregular surfaces.
Pads are malleable, pulse resistant and can be used with any equipment, whether it is vertically or horizontally mounted. Piping and equipment at any high temperature ought to be insulated in order to reduce heat loss and enhance safety. As a general rule, any surface that reaches temperatures greater than 100˚F should be insulated to protect personnel.
Straight-WRAP insulation blankets are easily installed on complicated equipment. By simply wrapping the equipment until it is completely covered. Easy-to-use ties effectively hold the insulation in place. The unique design and shape of our STRAIGHT-WRAP blankets and cover pads guide you to correctly install the covers quickly and with little effort. Our clear and comprehensive tagging system allows you to easily find the location of the item that will be covered. Most of our STRAIGHT-WRAP covers come with Velcro® laps to shed water. Insulated blankets or pads can easily be removed for periodic inspections or maintenance and replace as needed.

STRAIGHT-WRAP heat covers are insulated blankets that hold a heat tracing cable on their inside face. Most of the Straight-WRAP heated covers contain a Self Regulating Heat Trace.
The Self-Regulated cables are placed in a strategically pattern to avoid cold spots over the body that will be covered.

HTSX - for freeze protection or temperature maintenance to 121°C (250°F)
BSX - for freeze protection or temperature maintenance to 65°C (150°F)
RSX - for freeze protection or temperature maintenance to 65°C (150°F)
VSX - for freeze protection or temperature maintenance to 149°C (300°F)
INSTALLING REMOVABLE HEATED BLANKTS
STRAIGHT-WRAP EHT blankets are designed to the specific need of each customer. Heat Covers can be fabricated to fit any equipment for maintain temperature and freeze protection. Factors such as ambient conditions are taken into consideration in the design process. Sewn loops are put in place on the blanket liner to allow heat tracing cable to pass through. Options for Thermostats, Junction boxes, and other electrical controllers may be available dependent on the design request. Field terminations must be made by customer’s qualified electrician. Custom Class 1 Division 1 heat blankets are also available. Please contact SLIS for more info.
Freeze Protection covers in different wattages densities are available for standard products such as 20 lbs. LP Cylinder and Bulk Totes.
