Where intelligence reinvents energy
The theme for the Digital Forum in 2027 marks the industry crossing the threshold into a new era: On one side, the first wave of digitalization has delivered meaningful gains, but many solutions remain fragmented and siloed. On the other we unify data, platforms, and AI across enterprises and the full value chain, moving beyond incremental optimization toward new, performance-centered, operating models, with the potential for exponential improvement. Two defining concepts underpin the theme: Intelligence combines the human and organizational expertise built by the energy industry over more than a century with data, digital technology, and AI. Reinvention signals that through the application of intelligence at scale, the operating models of tomorrow will be materially different from those of today.
