HALL OF FAME 2025
Together, we make history!
2025
2025 was once again a year that showed us how strong we are as a community. It was defined by team spirit, innovation and unforgettable achievements. Every title, every record and every new idea is the result of people who live their passion - from our athletes to our development team.
“
What a year! I look back with great appreciation at what we achieved together as the entire FLYSURFER team. 2025 was an exceptionally successful year for us, especially in a market environment that was rather slowing down. This makes it even more impressive that we collectively had the courage to keep our foot on the gas. That very team spirit and shared determination made all the difference. The development of the FLYSURFER brand in recent years fills me with deep gratitude and deep respect for every single achievement within the team. My sincere thanks also go to all our loyal partners who walk this path with us, supporting us with trust and solidarity. – Daniel Luiskandl, Head of Brand FLYSURFER

Hugo makes history!
2025
Cape Town. Kite Beach. The wind roaring, the sun blazing, and somewhere between sky and sand stands a man with a dream. Hugo Wigglesworth, not nominated for King of the Air, but driven by an idea: Limits exist to be broken. The day starts quietly. Avocado toast, F1 qualifying, a glance at the wind data. Then the decision: Today is the day. Shorter lines, more lift, maximum control. The ocean boils, 40 knots whip the waves. Hugo takes off - 28 meters. Breathtaking. But not enough. He heads toward the outer kicker, accelerates, everything in him screams: Now! The kite powers up, the lines sing, and suddenly he rises. 10 meters. 20. 30. The world shrinks. 40 meters. A jump that stops time. Seconds that feel like eternity. Pure freedom.
When he lands, no triumphant shout. Just one sentence, quiet, almost casual: “I just flew 40 meters.” It was more than a record. It was a statement, for everyone who dreams, for everyone who wants to touch the sky. Hugo proved: The only limits are the ones in our minds.
At the Red Bull King of the Air in Cape Town, the kite world witnessed a historic moment: For the first time ever, a foilkite flew in the toughest Big Air event on the planet. Luca Ceruti fought his way through the heats, and as the wind dropped, the moment arrived that changed everything: “It’s 7-meter SONIC time, baby!” Luca launched the SONIC, soared like never before, landed trick after trick and won the round. The crowd went wild. He finished in 4th place, but above all, it was a milestone for Big Air. This moment shows what FLYSURFER stands for: innovation, passion and a family that makes history together.
