We’re very, very busy planning fun events for our much loved charities, including our annual summer site social and welcoming some new faces to our buzzing business campus! On Friday the 21st of August, we’ll be rocking it out with Skypark friends and family in our very own music festival (from 3-7pm). You also have the chance to take part in the Charity Abseil down Skypark One for 'Finding Your Feet' and 'Cash for Kids', supported on site by Radio Clyde presenters. We are also thrilled to introduce Bell Integration and Statkraft, the power generation company, as our newest residents into Scotland's biggest business campus. When was the Company established? The Company was established by Alastair Bell in 1996. How many employees will work at Skypark? Initially, ten or so employees – growing as we expand our business in Scotland. Our location in Skypark is a strategic location from which we deliver remote managed services for our UK customer base. We expect significant growth in Managed Services in the coming months and therefore plan to expand our presence at Skypark. Why Skypark?
It is in a great location for our customers, when compared against the competition in the area, the Skypark facility was found to have greater amenities and was significantly more commercially viable.
Who do we work with?
Bell Integration’s customers range from large Telecommunications companies to local government and financial institutions. We have customers across Europe and also further afield such as New Zealand and Africa.

tatkraft, the power generation company is our newest resident to join Skypark, Scotland’s biggest business campus. Statkraft operates hydropower plants, onshore and offshore wind farms across the UK. The new Glasgow office is a base for the company’s onshore wind farm business in Scotland. We look forward to seeing Stuart Black and the rest of the team around Skypark! McCann Complete Medical Fit the Bill! M
cCann Complete Medical is the latest company to take part in our ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ style bill board campaign “Skypark is…” that represents the people in our thriving business community. The 20 foot tall billboards feature David McMinn, Medical Writer for Complete HealthVizion and Suzanne McAllister, Medical Writer for CMC, alongside the Clydeside Expressway, the gateway to the city centre and the west end.

1. What does McCann Complete Medical Ltd do? McCann Complete Medical works with the international pharmaceutical industry to help communicate the value, safety and benefit of new medicines to healthcare professionals. 2. Are there any specific projects or services to highlight? We work on a wide range of projects, including international meetings, slide kits, publications and online educational materials. 3. When was the company established? The company was established in June 1990 in Macclesfield, UK. The first Glasgow office opened in March 2003. 4. How many employees are based at Skypark? We currently have 30 employees based at Skypark. McCann Complete Medical employs over 300 employees based in various offices in the UK and the US. 5. Why move to Skypark? We had outgrown our previous office space and decided to move to Skypark due to the quality of the location, the scope for expansion, and the access to a specialist medical knowledge talent pool.

kypark is delighted to announce that our new look ‘Skypark 5’, phase 1 is now completed, creating a new office concept in Finnieston enhancing the local area. We’re also delighted to welcome Peninsula and Land Engineering, along with Clyde Space and Spire, the first tenants to move in! The makeover represents a £2.5m investment offering two options of contemporary loft style open plan space with exposed ceilings and brickwork and feature wall finishes and a traditional office fit out. New toilet and shower facilities are available within the common areas of each floor. Commenting on the completion, Skypark’s asset manager Angela Higgins says: “We can offer companies of all sizes and sectors, a funky, design led business destination where spaces can be customised to suit a variety of businesses and their needs. Our summer site social is coming soon and this time we will be rockin’ … to Sky in the Park, our very own music festival! Skypark tenants, friends and family are invited to this fantastic event on Friday 21st August, 3.30pm to 7.00 pm, in the Lower Cranston Street car park, with FREE tickets from Carol at Skypark’s main reception. Sky in the Park will feature craft beers, cocktail bar and soft drinks (vouchers on arrival), street food, a line up of Glasgow’s finest bands and DJs, shopping, family fun and the chance to do a charity abseil down Skypark One for Finding Your Feet and Cash for Kids. We’ll even have Radio Clyde DJs on site supporting the abseil. Find out more on how to get involved with the abseil from Carol at Skypark reception. other iPhone artwork printed onto textiles, showcasing Riel’s distinctive response to new iPhone technology and the potential that any smartphone owner has to create his or her own portfolio. “My exhibition is a response to the advances in technology that iPhone and smartphone cameras have undergone, as well as the range of camera apps and picture editing software now available to everyone,” said Riel, when she sat down with Skyline to discuss her exhibition. “For over a year now I have left my professional cameras on the shelf, bringing them out only when a photography job demands it – all my creative work now is made on my iPhone and iPad. Smartphone photography is so exciting, because it is the new frontier in photography with affordable apps that allow everyone to explore their creative side.”
From your coat pocket to the gallery walls Trend-setting iPhone photo exhibition & workshop open at Skypark Skypark is hosting a photography exhibition with a unique twist: all the photos featured have been taken and edited with the use of an iPhone and iPad that together create a mobile studio. iPhone Photography by photographer and artist Riel Noir features 24 framed fine art giclée prints and
Riel, who studied at Glasgow School of Art and has exhibited extensively in the UK, Denmark and soon the US, will also be leading a workshop for Skypark tenants on what can be achieved with picture editing apps on smartphones and tablets, and the benefits using them could bring: “iPhone photography is a great asset to anyone who wants to update their online presence, but cannot afford a professional photographer. Many people are capable of creating interesting images but others could do with some help, which is why I have designed a workshop targeted to the small business owner who in the past wouldn’t have dreamt of buying a DSLR to do their own photos, but is happy to use their phone camera for this purpose. “My workshop is a taster that will provide a starting point for those wishing to improve their photographs generally and who may want to approach their images in a creative fashion, employing apps with filters that can alter and improve the nature of their photos. I think the reason why the iPhone works so well as a camera is because it’s the camera that’s always with you!” The iPhone photo editing workshop for Skypark tenants will take place on 23rd July at 5:45pm at Skypark. NURSERY NEWS As always, the nursery has been very, very busy raising funds, baking and have even made a fitness CD! Read on for this issue’s update… Children of all ages “Made money with Mummy” for Comic Relief by taking part in a dancethon, so as well as having great fun and exercising, the nursery made an amazing £1538! The children and parents made a superb array of baking and we all enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea party. The older children, even made a fitness CD which they filmed in the gym to much hilarity, and raised funds by selling it to their parents. On the management front, Inez was nominated and shortlisted for a special NMT award as one of the top 20 most influential people in childcare in the whole of Britain. This was a wonderful accolade for all the work she does not only for Four Seasons but for the wider Glasgow and Scottish day care sector. She attended the awards dinner in London and although she did not win, Inez was “amazed and humbled to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award”. We have entered the nursery into the Scottish NMT awards to be held later this year. In July, Skypark will host a series of ‘smART Business’ workshops run by Anna Sundt, Director of Creamer & Sundt. These workshops are for you - and after a survey (thanks to those who responded) - we have chosen the topics which interest you the most. Aimed at business leaders, HR and L&D specialists you will walk away with practical ways to improve your business - all with a splash of creativity and art-based strategies. Who is Anna? Anna Sundt is a business psychologist and painter who was artist-in-residence at Skypark in 2013. (You may remember her sketching in the foyer, or in your business.) The artworks formed part of her degree show at the Glasgow School of Art in 2014 (yes, that’s right - the year the Mackintosh burned down).

Congratulations to all bakers that took park in the Great Skypark Bake-Off held on Tuesday 16th June. Tenants Sacha Mason, Pocapoc, Sara Giovino, Pole to Win, Fiona Rush, V.Ships and Pauline Gregory, Skylark went up against Clyde 1’s, Cassi Gillespie and George Bowie and Clyde 2’s Alan Edwards and Joanna Cochrane to compete for the bake-off crown!

elebrity Chef, John Quigley and owner of Red Onion, was compere with his “Paul Hollywood style glare”, judged the bake-off winner Sacha Mason of Pocapoc while the Skypark audience were treated to a delicious Vintage Afternoon Tea. All funds raised from the event will go directly to the charity Cash for Kids. Angela Higgins, asset manager of Skypark says: “The event was a celebration of our cook book, “Recipes for Success,” where every penny raised from our residents’ Vintage Afternoon Tea goes to Cash for Kids for the most vulnerable children and families in our community. Thank you to John Quigley, Clyde DJs and our tenants who have helped us to make it happen.” Celebrity Chef, John Quigley and owner of Red Onion said, “I was delighted to judge the best baker in a fun packed, caketastic day - this is a great way to help raise awareness for a brilliant cause and celebrate the Recipes for Success cookbook.” Debbie Fraser, Regional Charity Manager at Cash for Kids: “The Skypark tenants have been great supporters of Cash for Kids and have helped make a real difference to children in their local communities. They always come up with imaginative ways in which to raise funds and the “Recipes for Success”, was yet another”. Well done to Sacha who won dinner for two at Red Onion! And a big thank you to everyone who attended - a total of £5,575 was raised for Cash for Kids.
