The Neeson Cripps Academy is a secondary school built for the Cambodian Children’s Fund. It was designed by COOKFOX Architects and is approximately 33,400 square feet. The site of the project is adjacent to the former Steung Meanchey garbage dump in an extremely impoverished neighborhood. The facility was built at this particular site in order to cater to the underprivileged students within the area. About 400 students, ages 13-18 attend this institution. The curriculum taught here is globally connected and features a rigorous English- language program. The project was completed in 2017.
Designed by the architectural firm ANEP - DSI with lead architect Juan Caorsi Castillo, this institution is a public secondary school with a focus in technical education. It’s site is situated in a suburb that houses the majority of its targeted user groups. Completed in 2020, this roughly 15,000 square foot school was designed with a strict budget in mind to facilitate the needs of the surrounding impoverished community. Adaptability was a key consideration with the pragmatic organization of this school. The modular system of classrooms and schematic access to outdoor learning spaces are just a few of the innovations that achieve this adaptability.
