Woodlands Market has opened to great enthusiasm and I must say I am a frequent patron of their Salad Bar & prepared foods section - delicious and nutricious! The neighborhood is shaping up with other welcome additions including Joe & the Juice and a Fistful of Tacos (finally, a neighborhood taqueria!). Facebook just leased the entire 181 Fremont building and several new high rises continue to reach to the sky. The future is very promising for South Beach & Yerba Buena (‘the East Cut” ...ahem) in the long run. The short term however is experiencing some growing pains with the sudden influx of residential and commercial inventory. Sales and leasing prices are decidely down from previous years. More affordable 2 bedroom, 2 bath homes are teetering downward near the $1 million mark. As your expert small neighborhood business, we look forward to providing you with quick personalized service. Cheer for the other Chef Curry (Ayesha) as she partners with restaurateur Michael Mina in opening International Smoke, a full-scale version of the Mina Test Kitchen pop-up.
