The real estate market in Mission Bay was unpredictable last year. 2017 started off slowwly with an apparent decline in home prices, however, prices slowly climbed when summer approached. Mission Bay home prices have been on a steady incline since. The graph to the left shows the rolling 12 month average $/SqFt sold in Mission Bay over the last four years. The oversupply at One Mission Bay negatively impacted the resale market in our neighborhood in the first half of 2017, but the market has recovered with only 25% of the building available for sale at One Mission Bay. Fortunately, the recorded sales prices at One Mission Bay are at a high $/SqFt, and this will positively impact the resale market in 2018. Properties throughout Mission Bay will catch up to the premium prices at One Mission Bay. This happened in South Beach with Lumina; the high $/SqFt sold at Lumina helped increase prices at Infinity. 2018 is at a great start so far. If you’re thinking of making a move, call me today.
