Superior Donuts Cast James Campen:

Hello, I have been in some way, involved with theater now for over 20 years.

Whether be on stage, or back stage. My biggest role so far was playing Lenny of Mice and Men at Brucemore. I greatly enjoy being on stage.

Bryce Jordan:

This is my first ever play! I have been apart of two musicals and did show choir all throughout highschool. I plan on becoming a choreographer in the future for show choirs and other gigs. I don’t have a have a favorite donut because I don’t eat no nasty donuts ;)

Wes Kaufman:

After a few decades away from theater, I jumped back into the Thespian pool after retiring. After 38 years of acting as a professional engineer, I took on the role of the Dad for "Leaving Iowa" and then Inspector De'Ath in a "Hair Raising Halloween Happening" murder mystery. This is my first performance with Rich Heritage Theatre of Cedar Rapids.

Thanks to my wife Gina for her support, and flexibility preparing for this production.

You can add anything to make this more interesting. I acted in High School and did an occasional skit at church, but no commercial productions. Member of Thespian Society at South Tama County High School, 1981...

Favorite Donut: creme filled, chocolate covered long John

Duane Larson:

Duane Larson (Max) is vzvolnovannyy (that's "thrilled" in Russian) to reprise his role as Max in this wonderful show! You might recognize him from several stages throughout the corridor, from Anamosa to Iowa City and all points in between! He is also an award-winning playwright, who has had plays produced on many of those same stages!

Thanks to the cast and crew and to you for coming to see us! Favorite donut: gotta go with a classic, the one and only glazed.

Christa McDonald:

Christa McDonald is excited to return to the stage in Superior Donuts with RHCR. Her previous credits include Hotlips Houlihan in MASH, Olga Beriosiva in The Pink Panther Strikes Again, and several other high school plays and musicals before life briefly cast her in other roles. Christa does improv all day, everyday in her work as an elementary school building secretary. She enjoys gardening, spending time with her 14-year-old son, and keeping up with her two dogs. She is grateful for the opportunity to be back in live theater and share the stage with this wonderful cast. My favorite donut is chocolate frosted cream-filled Bismark

Superior Donuts Cast Josh Rouse:

Josh Rouse is excited to be a part of the cast for Superior Donuts! He is equally excited to be working with a number of fellow actors once again from shows as recent as Hitchcock Radio, The Explorer's Club and Arsenic & Old Lace. Josh enjoys donuts of all kinds (besides cream filled) but his most favorites are from Donutland cherry, blueberry and coconut.

EJ Swavv:

A multifaceted Music Producer, Multi-Instrumentalist, Artist, and decorated Iowa Music Award winner from Cedar Rapids, Iowa propelled by faith and dedication. Collaborating with esteemed acts such as NandoSTL, Eelmatic and December Joy, and alongside opening up for artists like Mr. Talkbox, The 69 Boyz, and Tye Tribbett, EJ's influence spans both studio and live settings. As a previous Choir Director for Kids Across America camps and a key member of The Band Vibe CR, his impact transcends music. With God as his guide, he remains committed to his purpose, signed under Rapzilla Distribution Company."

Favorite Donut:….Well, if I have one…it’s either glazed or powdered

Kathleen Weiss:

Kathleen is excited to return to the RHCR stage in Superior Donuts. She previously worked with RHCR as Mickey in The Odd Couple (Female Version), Clairee in Steel Magnolias, cast member for five RHCR Christmas Shows, and cast member for 24 Hour Play Festivals.

Kathleen has also worked crew for several RHCR productions and was privileged to write and perform for RHCR Zoom productions during the pandemic. In addition to her work with RHCR, Kathleen has worked with other theatres across the corridor including TCR, MVLCT, Giving Tree Theater, TKM Productions, Mirrorbox Theatre, and Starlighters II. Kathleen wants to thank Steve for his support and encouragement.

Favorite Donut: And...my favorite "donut" would be a cream-filled longjohn with chocolate frosting and sprinkles.

Kara Worthington:

Kara Worthington is playing the role of Arthur Przybyszezewski.

This is Kara's first time in a RHCR production.

Kara's favorite donut is the cherry donut at Donutland.
