OIL PAINTINGS SELECTED WORKS The act of painting is a form of discovery, revealing new textures, nuances, and layers that deepen with continued observation. These pieces attempt to replicate reality yet expand beyond what is immediately visible. Each painting explores atmosphere through the use of color, brushstrokes, and spatial depth. Tone and lighting are utilized to evoke emotion and mood. Composition and layout emphasize key physical features and advance the narrative. The painting “Ephemeral” explores how pigment, composition, and vantage point communicate mental and bodily compression. The dark brown background encroaches onto the bed, visually cornering the figure. The message of the work is that while mental darkness can feel never-ending and physically compressive, these feelings are ephemeral.

SEWING SELECTED WORKS As part of the Denver School of the Arts Senior Project Fashion Show, I directed and designed multiple runway looks. This first garment was developed from the theme “books,” translating the physicality of printed pages into a sculptural dress. Individual book pages were cut, shaped, and sewn onto a fitted bodice, then extended into a layered train that trails behind the figure. The resulting form transforms fragile, flat paper into a structured, architectural surface, allowing text to move with the body.

Independent Works Senior Project Fashion Show The second look is a blazer dress constructed with a layered bias tape overlay, developed around the theme of “geometry.” A grid system derived from dragonfly wings and urban street networks was mapped onto the garment, allowing linear structures to wrap and contour the body.
14 “Stitched Geometry” Cotton, bias tape, thread, zipper, pins
The bias tape both traces and disrupts the silhouette, falling away in places while reinforcing the figure in others, creating a tension between rigid order and organic movement.

Core Studio I Geologies Of Making
FOLDED LIMESTONE PHYSICAL STUDY As the initial stage of the Geological Pavilion design, we abstracted the structural and material logic of folded limestone to generate architectural form. Rather than simply representing geology, the project sought to reproduce the forces that shape it over time. Curved layers, stacked formations, and compressed mass became the formal drivers of the model. Bristol sheets were sliced, woven, layered, and cut to create shifting surfaces and spatial interruptions that echo folded stone. Tensioned sewing thread was pulled through the model to introduce directional forces, simulating the pressures that bend limestone over time. The resulting voids and compressions generated architectural possibilities that guided the pavilion’s development.
