This season is dedicated to the memory of Festival co-founder Dr. David Robinson. The Daedalus Quartet opens with a community concert featuring new music created by residents via the Hyperscore program. Later, the Ying and Daedalus quartets combine for the Mendelssohn Octet. Cellist Alisa Weilerstein performs Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations, while organist David Higgs showcases the new Casavantes Frères organ. Robinson Award winner Laura Britton performs Telemann and Saint-Saëns. Additional highlights include Zephyros Winds playing Ligeti and Beethoven, and Quartetto Gelato presenting a multi-instrumental program. Soprano Lauren Skuce sings Shostakovich’s Seven Romances, and a chamber ensemble performs Libby Larsen’s Four on the Floor. Following a Brahms quartet performance, the season concludes with Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Marina Piccinini in Mozart’s Flute Concerto, and Ilya Kaler performing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
