The Peabody Trio performs piano trios by Haydn and Ravel, and Robert Weirich’s A Flurry of Fanfares receives its premiere. Conductor Robert Kapilow leads William Cowdery and Weirich in concertos by Bach and Mozart (K. 414) and presents a What Makes It Great? program on Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. Curtis Curtis-Smith joins Meet the Music, with Weirich, Renata Knific, and Pamela Frame performing his Piano Trio No. 2. Janet Brown and Weirich premiere Wes York’s Songs from the Lakota, while Ellen Koskoff directs the Gamelan Angklung. The all-Beethoven finale, conducted by Weirich, features the Coriolan Overture, Piano Concerto No. 4 with soloist Awadagin Pratt, and Symphony No. 7.
