A land populated by silent forests, silvery lakes, secluded islands and mountains of snow. Where nature dominates and seasons dictate.
A land larger than Germany, France and Italy but one-tenth of the people. With more boats and bicycles than those owning them, and a border to continental Europe just sixty kilometres long.
This is a land that has plotted its own course, shaped a different way of living over centuries. Where community, consciousness and timeless values of trust, equality, respect thrive.
Where its inhabitants place the greatest priority on life balance, on fellowship, family and friends, and on everyday moments of shared happiness.
Romantic? Idealistic? We think not.
It’s genuine.
And it’s something everyone should experience.
A sensory childhood
Like all new teenagers, we’ve waited for this moment for what feels like forever.
We are finding our identity, our personality, our individuality.
We’ve started to explore the world and we want more.
Learned to run not just to walk.
Feeling a little confident.
Rebellious.
Willing to take risks.
Make mistakes.
Because we’re discovering what excites us.
What we like doing.
And who we do it with.
And it kinda feels good.
And it’s not necessarily the same as it used to be.
SHAUN RUSSELL, FOUNDER
There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in.

Because living more Scandinavian is not just where you come from.
It’s how you think, how you treat others, and the world that surrounds you, and what you treasure.

A new twist on Scandinavian fragrance.

Nature, art and culture have long guided my approach to perfumery. Born and raised in the south of France, I’ve shared the last thirty years with my Swedish husband, so my admiration for Scandinavia is not idealised. It is rooted in its raw nature and in real moments lived over many years.
I embrace the rituals I’ve learned there, from joyful midsummer evenings of shrimp and schnapps to winter baking and candlelit gatherings protected from the cold. They have become part of my life, and I carry their values back to Paris, where they continue to influence both my home and my creativity.
This enduring influence is evident throughout Skandinavisk’s new Eau de Parfum collection, in which each fragrance evokes a place, a season or a moment that conveys the atmosphere of Scandinavia, shaped by memory, experience and deep respect.

For me, scent is memory. It’s how I remember people. It’s the chapters of my life.
I’ve always attached fragrance to trips and experiences. I would get a new one every summer as a kid and keep them in a little box. To this day, when I smell certain notes, I remember exactly where I was. Now, the more I live abroad, the more Danish I feel. So I try to bring my home with me – through traditions, furniture, design, and especially fragrance.
My fragrance choice is the last twist of any routine. It has to complement me, follow not lead. The world might see you from a distance - but when someone gets close, that’s when you really share a different part of yourself. It’s why I remember my husband’s scent more than anything else when we first met.
You can’t let go of your roots. For me, scent is how I carry them.

Copenhagen fascinates me for its harmony. The water is never far away, and nature is not separate from the city but part of it.
Climbing rose in Skandinavisk’s courtyard blends with harbour moss from the local canal to bring green life, while charred wood and polished metal notes honour new and old, the pioneering architecture and well-worn bicycles. It reflects the city’s quiet balance of nature,

Every time I smell it, it feels like a new story.
It feels buzzing and fresh - like I’m riding a bike through Copenhagen, like I can almost hear the city.
When I wear it, I want to leave the house, ring a bike bell. I want to move, and I’m intentional about where I’m heading.
It’s for me, my husband, for everyone.
JOSEPHINE SKRIVER, SKANDINAVISK AMBASSADOR

There’s something fresh and incredibly happy about it.
It feels like sitting together and braiding flower crowns - just being carefree for a little while. It’s that moment when the darkness is gone and you’re celebrating.

It is colour, pride and togetherness in perfume form.
I wanted to capture the scent of those flower crowns, the green stems, the wild blossoms, and the sweetness of sun-warmed strawberries.
Notes of buttercup, wild strawberry and meadow florals reflect that joyful, social energy.

Walking into a Scandinavian forest always feels restorative. The air is crisp, ozonic, and the silence carries weight.
Pine needle and fir balsam evoke the canopy above, while rowanberry brings a subtle brightness inspired by wild forest fruit. There is a healing clarity in these woods and a balance of freshness and warmth. This fragrance is about that quiet renewal found in nature.

It makes me want to sit down and just breathe.

This is hygge with a sexy twist. It’s like being locked in a cabin with someone - and the world disappears. It’s very magnetic, very present. It takes away all distractions.

We’re not leaving. We’re staying in.
The warmth of a cabin, the glow against dark windows, the comfort of wool on skin. I have always loved this part of the culture, the way atmosphere is created with intention, how light, scent and texture shape a room and the mood within it.
Nordik Nights moves beyond comfort into intimacy. Amber glow, cacao truffle and warm skin accords create a sensual, tactile atmosphere, softened by cashmere wool and the quiet suggestion of body heat. It is the human heart of the collection.

Some days the ocean is calm, some days it’s wild - there’s such a mood shift.
You can put your toes in the sand and feel so Danish in a different way. You just breathe differently up here in Scandinavia.
A memory of my dad’s summerhouse by the beach.

Ystad, on the southern tip of Sweden, holds special meaning for me. We spend our summers there, by the sea. The beaches are often calm and almost empty, especially in the evening when the light lingers and the dunes move gently in the breeze.
Sea lily and sea grass bring a transparent coastal freshness, while driftwood and soft mineral notes anchor the scent in deep serenity.
This fragrance carries that sense of space and stillness that I always find there.

The first time you see the Northern Lights, you never forget it. The sky begins to move.
Colours appear, fade and return in complete silence. It is cold and sharp, yet filled with quiet intensity. Frosted mint and silver fir create that crystalline clarity, while a luminous spatial accord captures the shifting light.

I got proposed to under the Northern Lights. We were standing on a frozen lake, surrounded by forest. There’s a smell to that experience - wood, ice, and a completely different kind of freshness that I’ll never forget.
There’s a crackling sound to it. I want wind in my hair when I smell it.

It’s in-yourface fresh and I love that.
I feel awake when I smell it. There’s such a wildness to it.

This fragrance is about force. The sea at its wildest, dark and crashing, air so cold it sharpens the senses.

Snow accord and sea spray bring that glacial clarity, while mineral moss and woody undertones add depth and structure. It is raw, elemental and bracing. A reminder of nature’s strength.

Our new flagship store is situated on the ground floor of a building that soon celebrates its 300th birthday, risen from the ashes of the great fire of Copenhagen in 1728.
Commissioned by a sailor, Friderich Olsen, it was built in half-timbering with a brick basement on a street named after the neighbourhood’s history hosting workshops for minting coins, Gammel Mønt (Old Coin).
There is photographic evidence the store has been active for more than a century, and it was once the home of a renowned glassmaker, the one-ofa-kind curved glass by the entrance a testament to his precision. Inside, the beams are pine originals, the flagstone floor is island stone, shipped from Bornholm, while the rear courtyard is a sanctuary of preserved old Copenhagen charm.

As recently as forty years ago, the entire street faced another crisis; gradually bought up, neglected and condemned to be torn down by rapacious newspaper barons intent on building a huge printing press. Yet the plan was averted at the last minute, the area conserved, and a group of enthusiastic new owners took years to rebuild the near-derelict homes. Now, these distinctive townhouses are all safely listed.
Despite our teenage years we have no plans to destroy our new home and, together with the owner, have carefully uncovered and restored all the space’s original features to give visitors a true sensory city experience.

It’s my favourite number.
It was the BMX plate of my youth.
It’s the year we open our first store.
For anyone that’s started a business that’s turned teenage, my greatest respect.
It’s not easy.
The steep learning curve and the cliff edge.
The invisible rules of thumb and the illogical red tape.
The clever competition and the cashflow pressure.
If any of us knew the complexities before, none of us would ever take the risk.
Most never will.
That’s why more of us should take the leap.
Believe.
