JUNE 6 & 7, 2026

Welcome to the 2026 Waterfront Festival!

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 35th Annual Anacortes Waterfront Festival, taking place June 6–7, 2026.

This festival is one of our community’s most cherished traditions. Bringing together residents, visitors, families, and friends to celebrate everything that makes Anacortes such a special place. From our stunning waterfront views to our vibrant maritime culture, this weekend is a reflection of the spirit, creativity, and hospitality that define our town.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll find something for everyone. Kids can build and test their own boats at the Toy Boat-Building activity, while adventure seekers can enjoy free boat rides hosted by the generous volun-

teers of the Anacortes Yacht Club. The everpopular “Quick & Dirty” boat-building competition promises excitement and a little friendly rivalry, and the Passport Activity invites you to explore the festival while connecting with our wonderful local vendors.

Be sure to spend time in the Channel of Discovery, where hands-on exhibits and educational experiences highlight our unique marine environment and community organizations. Families will love the carnival slide, and car enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Corvette and Classic Car Show, showcasing impressive vehicles and passionate collectors.

Of course, no festival would be complete without incredible food, live music, and a wide variety of artisan and commercial vendors lining the waterfront. Creating a lively,

welcoming atmosphere all weekend long.

Events like this are made possible by the dedication of our volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. Their commitment ensures that the Waterfront Festival continues to thrive year after year, and I am deeply grateful for their support.

Whether this is your first visit or a longstanding tradition, I hope you take time to relax, explore, and enjoy all that this special weekend has to offer.

Welcome and enjoy the festival!

Warm regards,

2026 Waterfront Festival

Join us for the 35th Annual Anacortes Waterfront Festival on June 6th and 7th, 2026! This exciting, free, family-friendly event celebrates the beauty and charm of Anacortes’ waterfront. It offers a variety of fun activities for all ages, showcasing beloved local traditions that have become a favorite for both residents and visitors alike. The festival also features a wide array of commercial and arts vendors, delicious food trucks, and live music performances that will keep you entertained throughout the weekend.

Below is a list of activities you can enjoy during the Waterfront festival weekend:

Children’s Toy Boat-Building

Sponsored by the Fidalgo Rotary Club, kids can unleash their creativity and build their own mini-boats. Grab a hammer and free components to help your child create a toy sailboat. Watch their faces light up as they test their creations on the water in our flotation pool. A perfect activity for young aspiring sailors!

Free Boat Rides

The volunteers of the Anacortes Yacht Club are excited to sponsor this year’s Waterfront Festival by offering free boat rides on their members’ boats. Find them by the three flagpoles at the marina entrance, located between the Port building (1019 Q Ave) and Anthony’s Cabana. Spots go fast — get in line early!

Quick & Dirty

Underwitten by Barret-Staley Family Community Project and Frontier Building Supplies, this exciting event invites community members to form teams and compete in a boatbuilding challenge. Each team will receive sheets of plywood, building materials, and a mystery item to construct their boat. Once completed on Saturday afternoon, the boats will be put to the test in a race in the Cap Sante Marina.

Passport Activity

Head over to the HF Sinclair booth to pick up your

Waterfront Festival passport! The passport lists participating vendors where you can visit and collect a stamp from each one. Once you’ve filled your passport, return it to the HF Sinclair booth to receive a prize!

Channel of Discovery

Head to the Channel of Discovery area, where you’ll find educational exhibits and waterfront-related activities for children and adults! Learn about boat skills and safety with Shearwater University, or explore marine wildlife through hands-on observation of marine artifacts with Pacific Mammal Research. With over 13 participating organizations, there’s something for everyone!

Carnival Slide

Bring your kids to experience the fun of the large pink carnival slide, located on the festival grounds! This activity is a great way for kids to burn off energy and have a blast!

Corvette and Classic Car Show

Sponsored by the Majestic Glass Corvette Club, the Corvette Show will be held on Saturday, with Corvettes lining the intersection of 9th and Q Ave. On Sunday, the intersection will showcase Classic Cars. Attendees can stroll through the event, admire the vehicles, and chat with the owners. Both days will feature trophies, dash plaques, door prizes, and a 50/50 raffle.
