ST AUGUSTINE’S

CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL

FROM THE HEADTEACHER I would like to welcome you to St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School. We are a vibrant, multi-cultural Catholic school, where staff and parents work together to help every child reach their full potential.

We guide every pupil’s formation and achievement, encouraging them on their own academic, sporting, creative and spiritual journey so they are ready for the next step on their educational journey.

However, the government funding we receive does not fully cover the costs of providing this excellent Catholic education. That’s why we look to our community of parents and friends to donate to the Helping Hands Fund to bridge this gap.

Thanks to last year’s donations, we have been able to train our teachers in the OPAL play system. We know this will transform playtimes for our children, helping with social skills and creative play which will in turn improve their focus in class, leading to better outcomes.

Two years ago, donations to the Fund allowed us to buy a set of iPads for use across the school, giving pupils exciting new ways to learn and grow in confidence by using technology responsibly.

None of this would be possible without our community. During your family’s time here, we hope that you will consider supporting the Helping Hands Fund, either with a one-off annual gift or a regular monthly donation.

We hope that our school can be supported by all of our families, working together to enrich the excellent Catholic education provided here at St Augustine’s.
