St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School

Educating is an act of love - it is like giving life.

FROM THE EXECUTIVE HEADTEACHER

St Joseph’s is wonderful Catholic school with a warm, faith-based atmosphere. We have high aims for all our pupils and seek to develop the ‘whole child’. We do this within a kind and supportive environment, where we celebrate lots of cultures under one roof. United by faith, we encourage our whole community to share, grow and flourish in faith and love for the benefit of the individual, those around them and the wider community. We are proud that this has been recognised by both Ofsted and the Catholic Schools Inspectorate both rating us as an ‘outstanding’ school.

Our school was built in the 1840s thanks to a fundraising campaign led by the parishioners of St Mary’s Fundraising remains just as essential to us today as it allows us to bridge the

gap between current government funding and our enhanced provision, allowing us to provide exceptional Catholic education and enhance our school environment.

To support this fundraising, in 2021 we launched our It Takes a Village Fund, allowing everyone in our community to make a donation at a level which is right for them and their family The Fund is supported by our annual Giving Day when we work together as a community to celebrate and fundraise for our school.

This year our Giving Day celebrations begin on Monday 17 and finish on Wednesday 19 March, the feast day of St Joseph. Please support us.
