At The Vaughan, there are no 'trials' and every pupil is encouraged to represent our school's sport teams regardless of previous experience in the sport. Information regarding training sessions and fixtures can be found on www.cvmssport.co.uk or by following @cvmssport on X.
During the first term, your son can represent our school's rugby teams. If your son is interested in this opportunity, then there are two introductory training sessions on Saturday 30 August (09:30-11:30) and Saturday 6 September (09:15-10:45) at our playing fields in Twickenham (Whitton Dene, TW7 7LY) Your son should arrive in his Games Kit which is the maroon top with his blue shorts and blue socks. Furthermore, he must bring a pair of rugby boots, a water bottle and a moulded gum shield
As the two sessions progress, pupils will be split based on understanding of the rules so please do not worry if your son has not participated in this sport before and all pupils interested in sport are encouraged to attend.
Finally, if your son cannot attend the session on Saturday 30th August, then he is still more than welcome to attend the session on Saturday 6th September.
SCHOOLMUSICAL PRODUCTION
Sweeney Todd
Monday 14 - Wednesday 16 July 2025, 7pm
The Vaughan’s School Musical Production is one of the most highly anticipated events in the school calendar; a sell out year on year.
This year, we are excited to share that we will be producing Sweeney Todd, a tale of the infamous demon barber on Fleet Street. We welcome you all to come and experience the wonder of the production on Monday 14 - Wednesday 16 July 2025. Tickets will be available from the school website very soon.

Pupil Induction
Friday 11 July to provide your son with a chance to get to know the school, some teachers, and to meet the other boys who will be in his year Please do not worry if your son is on a school trip and is unable to attend.
Summer School
Over the summer break, we are planning to run a Summer School of two weeks’ duration. The first week will run from 21 to 25 July, and the second from 26 to 29 August. If you have applied for this the Headmaster’s Secretary will contact you shortly.
The First Day of Term
New pupils in the First Form will start on Tuesday 2 September (further term dates can be found on our school website). Please arrive with your son for Mass by 8.50 am. Your son will not be in school on Wednesday 3 September as this is a Staff Inset day. His first full day at school will therefore be Thursday 4 September.
Uniform
The school’s uniform supplier will visit the school on Saturday 28 June from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. You are encouraged to come to the school on that day when you will be able to arrange all your son’s uniform needs. There will be four timeslots for you to attend, arranged by pupil surname:
