The 2020 Outstanding Eagle Award recipients Mr. and Mrs. John and Kim ‘87 Notoris

The Outstanding Eagle Award is the oldest and most prestigious award given by Saint John Paul II Academy. Established in 1987, this award recognizes extraordinary individuals for their outstanding dedication, service and support. The recipients have all made a lasting impact on the lives of our students.

The 2020 Outstanding Eagle Award recipients are Mr. and Mrs. John and Kim ‘87 Notoris

John and Kim have three children who have graduated from Saint John Paul II Academy; Maddie from the class of 2014 and a graduate of the University of Louisville, Megan from the class of 2016 who will also graduate from Louisville this summer and Nick, their most recent graduate from the Class of 2020 who will head to Xavier University in Fall.

Kim, a member of the PJP Class of 1987, has been involved with the Alumni Association for many years active with homecomings, the Alumni Legacy Scholarship committee, and the SJPII Development Committee. She has also been a member of the Parent Association, serving as the long time hospitality chairperson. Kim is the creator and Chairperson of the SJPII “It’s a Wonderful Run 5K for the past ten years. The run proceeds have supported many items such as new gym speakers, new SJPII athletic chairs and scoring table, track items, and guest speakers for our student body. In addition to these contributions, she has been a volunteer parent for both boys and girls lacrosse and is the organizing parent for the swim team.

Together, Kim and John have been instrumental in the installation of our new gym doors, the recent renovation of our gym bathrooms. They were both involved in helping their son, Nick, with his Eagle project on our campus – our new Marian Grotto. They have also been long time members of our Athletic Booster Club. Saint John Paul II Academy is blessed to have such dedicated Outstanding Eagles!
