SCHOLARSHIPS CITYWIDE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ENSURES THAT QUALIFYING SAN JOSÉ RESIDENTS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PARTICIPATION IN DEPARTMENT PROGRAMS, CLASSES, AND ACTIVITIES. MINI GYM STARS
BASKETBALL @ BASCOM
A great beginner gymnastic class teaching basic gymnastic skills, including movement exploration, balance, and coordination, at the same time teaching agility and improving motor skills. Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital.
This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progression curriculum, we focus on the whole player-teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothing and shoes.

This program is geared towards groups of people with disabilities. Come check out the Bascom Community Center and relax with some arts and crafts. This program is deigned to improve fine motor skills, creativity, and social skills. You will be guided through art projects and specialty crafts.
This is an introductory course for individuals with disabilities (ages 16+) and it covers basic kitchen safety, basic menu planning, and preparing simple dishes. Menus will include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts. Class includes lecture, observation, and hands on preparation. Participants will receive instructional materials to take home. Class is conducted in a teaching kitchen which utilizes gas burners.
Organization’s staff must accompany clients in a 4:1 ratio. This class is not designed for individuals without staff/attendant. Location: Bascom Community Center - Teen Room

POLICIES & PROCEDURES REGISTER FOR YOUR GOLD CARD Be a Santa Clara County Resident and Age 60 and over. Bring a photo ID on your first visit. FEES $5 contribution is recommended per meal. Ages 60 & Over: $5 Contribution Submit a hard copy of the County 1367 form. Ages 59 & Under: $15 Fee A gold card with a barcode will be issued to you. Please wait up to a month for the county to process. Ages 59 and under must pay a mandatory $15 (conditions apply).
RESERVATIONS Monthly menu calendars will be available the week prior to start of month. Circle the days you would like to attend. Write your name and phone number on the menu. Submit to SNP Staff. Reservation priority check-in is 11 - 11:30 a.m. Reservations are entered monthly. Meals are limited to 82 participants per day (Per County Budget). If arriving after 11:30 a.m., reserved participants forfeit their meal to a walk-in participant. Walk-ins accepted at 11:30 a.m. Walk-ins must wait at the door and not at the table. Saving seats is not permitted. No To-Go supplies are provided. Meals cannot be saved if arriving near closing time. A Reservation is not a guarantee of meal if arriving close to 12 p.m. Meals are limited. If we run out of meals, please refer to alternate locations.

In this safe and supportive environment, campers participate in active and engaged learning projects, skill building, youth voice and leadership, and learn healthy choices and behaviors. Price includes a low leader to camper ratio of 1:10, field trips*, a Camp San José shirt, and much more! *Families opting not to participate in field trips are responsible for finding alternative care for their child(ren) not attending the trip. Join us this summer at San José Family Camp at Yosemite Family Camp at Yosemite is an all-inclusive camp where you can fish, hike, swim, take part in organized programs, and relax. Camp is open to anyone who loves camping. Camp is along the Tuolumne River, near Yosemite National Park, east of Groveland, California.
