2023 CAMP SAN JOSÉ JR.

At Camp San Jose Jr., your child will participate in an unforgettable summer camp! We combine camp traditions with a wide variety of enrichment and educational activities. Children will have the opportunity to create cool art projects, play games and, sing funny songs while ensuring CDC safety measures. Camp San Jose Jr. includes skill-building, making new friendships, and much more! Campers need to bring water, lunch, and sunscreen each day. Each Camp San Jose Jr. session runs for one (1) week.

*Safety is our main priority and we will continue to follow all Santa Clara County and the State of California guidelines. Please keep your child home if they are displaying any signs of illness and report the absence to the campsite that your child is registered in.

HIRLN- SAN PEDRO SQ. SHARKS NIGHT

HIRLN (Head Injury Recreation and Leisure Network) wants you to join us for a fun night at San Pedro Square Market to partake in dining out with friends and watching the local Sharks game on the big screen We will decide as a group which eatery to dine on Drop off and pick up will be determined closer to event date Please register in advance either on-line or in-person at nearest community center. Participants must be able to participate in a 1:8 participant to staff ratio and be able to attend to their own personal care needs or have an attendant with them. Attendant will need to register for program or pay for own fees if wanting to participate.

HIRLN- PAINT NIGHT

HIRLN (Head Injury Recreation and Leisure Network) invites you to join us for a night of painting and fun! We will be meeting at the Bottle and Bottega in Campbell to follow an instructor as they guide our way to create a masterpiece of the groups choosing Must register in advance either on-line or in-person at nearest community center Participants must be able to participate in a 1:8 participant to staff ratio and be able to attend to their own personal care needs or have an attendant with them. Attendant will need to register for program or pay for own fees if wanting to participate.

APRIL MONTHLY SOCIAL: EGG-CELLENT CELEBRATION

Come join us at Mayfair Community Center for a night of celebrating Easter! We will make egg themed art and enjoy some wonderful "egg" treats All participants must be able to function in a 1:8 staff to participant ratio and be independent with personal care needs or bring attendant with them

MAY MONTHLY SOCIAL: TACO NIGHT!

Love tacos? Come join us for a night of making your own tacos. We will have a variety of sides such as chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and much more. We'll even make salsa from scratch. Participants must be able to function in a 1:8 staff to participant ratio and be independent with personal care needs or bring an attendant with them

Mayfair Group Arts

Come join us at Mayfair Community Center for some arts and crafts fun! Throughout the program participants will improve fine motor skills, increase social skills, and learn to expand their creativity Each class will be guided by a City Staff This program is geared towards groups of people with disabilities Organization's Staff must accompany clients in 1:4 staff to participant ratio and masks are highly recommended.

Scrapbook Club

Enjoy being creative with art and writing? Come join us to design and build your very own scrapbook Fill your book with pictures, memories, and thoughts. Participants may have the option to follow each night's different theme or create their own. Also participants are welcomed to bring own supplies such as old magazines, pictures, or other scrape papers. Participants must be able to participate in a 1:8 staff to participant ratio and be able to attend to own personal care needs or have an attendant with them.

Virtual Music Monday

Love to listen to music? Join us on Zoom where each night will feature a different music genre or theme such as 2010 Pop, Rock, and many more. We can listen, sing, dance, and chat all about music. Participants will be able to requests songs via email or chat. This program is designed for adults with disabilities but, anyone may join.

Zoom link will be sent prior to start of program.

Virtual Game Zone

Game on! Join us for weekly game nights on Zoom to partake in various games all in the name of fun. Each night will be a different game such as Family Feud, Scene it?, Scrabble, and much more. This class is designed for adults with disabilities but, anyone can partake. Zoom link will be sent prior to start of program

DIABETES CAMP- TYPE 1

This collaborative day camp program is provided by the City of San Jose's Therapeutic Services and California Diabetes Association. There will be fun activities, outings, games, crafts, and diabetes education. Nursing staff will be on site to help monitor blood sugars and provide education to participants and families. CAMP SUPERSTUFF- ASTHMA CAMP

Every summer, Breathe California offers Camp Superstuff, a week-long day camp held within the region served by Breathe California of the Bay Area This year, the City of San Jose, Mayfair Community Center, is partnering with Breathe California to offer Camp Superstuff This camp is designed for children 6-12 suffering from asthma, Camp Superstuff blends asthma education curriculum with traditional summer camp activities. This year's camp is being planned as a hybrid camp with both online and in-person activities.
