Zumba 18+ A Zumba class is a dynamic and exhilarating fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. It incorporates interval training, alternating fast and slow rhythms, to help improve cardiovascular fitness. The atmosphere in a Zumba class is typically energetic and fun, focusing on enjoying the music and the movements rather than perfecting each step. Participants of all fitness levels can join, as the moves can often be modified to suit different abilities. The class usually lasts about an hour and is led by a certified Zumba instructor who guides the participants through various dance styles such as salsa, reggaeton, merengue, and cumbia, ensuring a full-body workout that feels more like a dance party than a fitness session.

Create Games and Art with Python

Machine Learning with Scratch

"Introducing our ""Create Games and Art with Python"" course, specifically designed for imaginative learners aged 9-12. Why choose between art and coding when you can have both? This course offers a unique way to introduce the logical world of programming through the colorful lens of digital art. By manipulating Python's coding tools, students will see their creativity materialize on screen - an inspiring experience that encourages them to explore and understand the beauty of code. By the end of this journey, students won't just have coded - they'll have painted, designed, and created, offering them a distinct and engaging pathway into the world of programming.

Machine learning is rapidly reshaping our world, and it's more critical than ever for children to understand this transformative technology. Our mission is to introduce machine learning to young minds in a fun and approachable way, breaking down complex concepts into digestible lessons. Students will train their own machine learning models to recognize patterns in text, numbers, images, or sounds. They'll use those models to build their own face filters, smart devices, and chatbots. They're able to do all this in a block-based programming environment that many are familiar with.Code For Fun instructors are experts in Computer Science and make all sessions fun and engaging for all students."

Electronic Game Design: Food Delivery Mayhem

Engineering with Sphero Robots

In this camp we will design, create and program our own version of a platform game that will require players to collect the all the different ingredients, make the best pizza and serve hungry customers in record time! We will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game and bring our storyboard to life with programming and animation! At the end of the class, everyone takes home a working Windows-compatible game on their own Engineering For Kids Flashdrive!

"Our ""Engineering with Sphero Robots"" course is not just another robotics course—it's an adventure for children aged 912 that seamlessly blends coding, robotics, and storytelling. This unique learning experience utilizes Sphero BOLT, a dynamic coding robotic ball equipped with programmable sensors and a vibrant LED light matrix. Here, imagination is the key to innovation. Students create animated characters and construct narratives, transforming coding and robotic movement into a form of artistic expression. The hands-on curriculum also involves crafting obstacle courses and bridges, fostering a practical understanding of design principles. Through these activities, students learn not just to create, but to test, refine, and improve their creations—an essential iterative process in STEM fields. This course doesn't merely teach students how to program a robot—it inspires creativity, instills a love for learning, and nurtures future innovators.

LEARN WHILE HAVING FUN

Get outdoors and have some fun. F.I.T. Camp offers fitness activities, enrichment, fun interactive games, and a healthy cooking club. Join us at F.I.T. Camp, a weeklong camp where your kids will develop a balanced approach of knowledge, skills, and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime! Campers will learn healthy habits from our leaders who use an evidence-based curriculum. This summer, your kids will build friendships, grow their confidence, and benefit from outdoor activities. Price includes a low leader-to-child ratio of 1:10, a F.I.T. Camp shirt, skill building, new friendships, disguised learning, and much more! Campers need to bring water, lunch*, and sunscreen each day. *Check with your local community center for information on lunch programs, scholarships, and payment plans. Each F.I.T. Camp session runs for 1 week. *Safety is our main priority, and we will continue to follow all Santa Clara County and the State of California guidelines. Please keep your child home if they are displaying any signs of illness and report the absence to Daniel at (408) 2702220 or daniel.gomez@sanjoseca.gov
