DUPLICATE BRIDGE

Duplicate Bridge is called "duplicate" because the same bridge hand (i e arrangement of cards) is duplicated at other tables, in order to allow a fair comparison of playing skill and reduce "luck of the cards" In this way, every hand, whether good or bad, is played in competition with others playing the identical cards, and the element of skill is heightened while that of chance is reduced. Partners are strongly recommended/encourage and with prior notification to session coordinator*

Join us for a full-body workout designed to enhance strength, flexibility, mobility, and balance Participants will have the option to use weights to build muscle and bone strength, with exercises tailored for all fitness levels. Variations and modifications are provided, and all movements can be performed from a chair, making this class accessible to everyone No Program July 21st

Scholarships Available

The City of San Jose offers activity scholarships for children, seniors, and adults with disabilities who qualify. Scholarships will cover 50-70% of the class cost. Fill out the scholarship form and bring the necessary documents to any City of San Jose community center

AROUND THE TOWN CLUB

We're back! It's time for us to go back in the community Join us for a night on the town! This social club utilizes community activities which are selected by the group to improve socialization, leisure awareness and independent living skills Try new things and explore your community with the support and encouragement of friendly, knowledgeable staff

Members must be able to participate within a 1:6 staff to participant ratio and be independent with their personal care needs. Please note registration fee covers staffing costs only Additional fees may be required based on chosen activities

The first night of program will be held at the Camden Community Center. Location thereafter varies based on participants chosen activities.

CAMDENS FUN CLUB

This is a fun comprehensive activity covering multiple activities such as: board games, karaoke, dancing, arts and crafts, and sensory science fun! Participants must be 16 or older and be accompanied by a caregiver or be able to function independently

THERAPEUTIC SUMMER CAMPS

Every kid wants to play! These day camps are designed for children with cognitive disabilities who need a higher level of staff assistance for participation, including those with autism spectrum disorder Activities include arts and crafts, group games, circle time, a field trip, and more Children should bring a sack lunch to camp each day. Participants must be able to function in a 1:3 staff to participant ratio and be independent with personal care needs or bring an attendant with them Attendants will need to complete City of San Jose background clearance (fingerprinting) and provide proof of vaccination status

Everyone loves camp! Be social, make some friends, learn some new skills This camp for teens with disabilities and their non-disabled siblings and friends will provide a safe and structured opportunity to be a teen. The fitness room at Camden provides everything you need for a complete workout. We have cardiovascular machines including treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, and arm ergometers. We also have both fixed track machines and free weights for strength training.

Please note: Fitness memberships can be used for drop-in sports at no additional cost. Drop-in sports subject to change.
